I'm heading to BKK for my first time soon and plan on sticking with the looks-25-to-35 test. I have no intention of hooking up with an underage tg, but wonder what the frequency of such an occurances is? Is it easy to be fooled? Are the men in brown busting farangs often (ie. daily) for this crap?

There was a decision on this in the Criminal Court on 15 June 2004 in the prosecution of Chuwit Kamolvisit for employing underage girls at Honolulu Love Boat MP.
Even if she's under 18, you appear to be able to rely on the girl's age stated on her ID card even if it's fake, provided it's a good fake and only an expert would notice her ID card was counterfeit.
Remains to be seen whether another Thai Court would consider itself bound to follow this logic, especially with a less influential defendant.
