Well, I must bow to more recently experienced and younger men, but all through the 90's Singapore's P4P sections for tourists was a fraction of what was available and Orchard Tower was really only for the tourist on a package tour. Anyone who stayed longer soon got the drift of the place and became aware of other areas.

I was in Singapore 12/2006, and was enchanted to find a city with an even greater percentage of beautiful women than I see daily here in good old Bkk. But I never got laid in Singapore. To me, Orchard Towers was a total disaster. I went there twice, looking to get laid, and all I can say is that if you like big, ugly, aggressive katoeys, you will love Orchard Towers. I was horrified. It was as if the worst of the unemployable dregs of Nana Plaza had decided to migrate to Singapore, where someone might yet be fooled.
I never got the drift of other areas in Singapore, since I knew that I would soon be back home in wonderful Bkk. Need I say more?

Right beside CP3 is another MP called Valentine, which is more posh in ambience than CP3. I have been to Valentine just once. It appeared a mid-scale MP. Selection was slightly above average.

I found Valintines to be a rip off. Having said that, I understand that lots of places rip you off in Bangkok and Thailand, but for some reason my 5 minute visit to Valintines left a very bad taste in my mouth.
That was followed by a visit to CP 3 which left a good taste in my mouth.
Close by is Snow Whites, a lesser visited place, at least for white people, that I found to be fun. Not only was the girl great, but its fun to go to a place and use my full Thai vocabulary to its full effect. A laugh riot.

Some friends of mine did go to some karaoke places around Pinklao and were simply ignored by all the staff. They tried to get their attention, calling for them in Thai, but the staff did not serve them.
Gone many times to many places normally frequented only by Thais, in Pinklao, other parts of BKK and upcountry. From large places like massage parlors and discos to tiny little karaokes with a mess of sofas and a beat up TV. No problem ever and (perhaps to some degree my language skills and flexibility in regards to cultural ettiquette are to thank) have always been treated with respect and consideration, as you'd expect a polite and potentially well paying customer to be treated.
Although big places can be a kick, I prefer the small karaokes with the girls for rent or even an upstairs VIP room. I have a Very Impressionable Penis, I guess. Anyway, I have always been offered great girls and good service. No problems. Sometimes a polite smile or nod of the head to other Thai men thereabouts, as possible competitors, is in order. Sometimes not necessary.
The only drawback is that the chicks aren't naked like they are in GoGo's or as likely to get so wild with you right there in your seat. That's more for the flirtacious time, til you get them in private quarters.... But obviously, in the public section of Thai venues, if one acts with one's hands and tongue etc exactly like one might on a wild night in a Foreigner catering GoGo, this would be frowned upon and invite trouble.

I quite agree.
I find that my hands and tongue have a constant tendency to misbehave in public places, which is quite inappropriate and entirely unacceptable in a culture and society that Thailand and I ( and seajohn ) enjoy, and so I am having to constantly keep a check on them.
What is sad is to come across an obvious tourist who somehow strangely thinks he is distanced from and so therefore unbound by all forms of decency and yields to the life-long temptation of behaving, with a girl in public, like a slobbering pig and not only achieves this ambition and exceeds it.
But yes, this is completely off topic and so to return to it, CP3, like most soapies and oilies for that matter, have always impressed me with the degree of politeness, care and consideration that they ae shown to me.
