Of course looks are important, but at a soapy, if you have the $$$, you'll get laid. When they picture their dream guy, the image of a pale obese farang does not exactly immediately pop into their minds. If you watch the romantic thai movies they adore, the guys are pretty hansome. I've also talked to beer bar girls that point out, OMG, that guy is sexy, I want to f*ck him. Then will procede to try to seduce them due to pure physical attraction. This young hansome guy happen to deny her, so she ended up with an older overweight guy, but kept looking his way as if she'd drop the older guy at an instance for him.
Bottomline, it doesn't hurt to be a good looking farang. Money will do the trick in getting you laid. In the long run, the good heart will go a long way.

The ladies do know the difference between hansum and not. As much as anyone, they'd love to roll in the sack with a six-pac stud, who lavishes gifts and cash their way, and has the social graces of Cary Grant. But this is the P4P scene after all, and they are there to make money.
While "khun Tom Coooz" is not looking over his shoulder, worried that will I steal his part in the pre-quel to The Last Warrior, I can tell you that my TGF has some likes and dislikes, and I seem to fit the likes more so.
To whit: she doesn't like "poompooie mahk mahk" (really fat), but she went with fat customers quite willingly provided they showed "mariat dee," the good manner. One can be overweight and still know how to wear a clean shirt that's tucked in. This she puts more stock in than looks. Likewise, she doesn't like "skinny mahk mahk" because it equates to poor, not enough money to eat, or HIV.
She particularly didn't like smelly or really loud and drunk farangs and turned them down. One reason she picked me the night I walked into her gin joint, was because I ordered water, and I didn't appear abusive. She also doesn't like blatant grab-assing in public.
Think about it. When you see Thai couples walking down the street or on the Sky Train, how do they behave? Why would one expect these ladies to want anything different, when running around with their customers. They are, after all, products of their cultures. In the end, they are very pragmatic, and will do what they must to survive. They will also accept you for what you are (you are a product of your kharmic past, in their eyes) and will hope that you are nice and can pay the going rate. Everything after that is bonus points.

You are right on with your analysis. When I see farang in bars with dirty clothes, or drunk and acting stupid I often wondered what these girls really think. I'm happy to hear the comments from your girlfriend.
I am just an average looking guy, but I agree with your thoughts. Having a "good heart" and treating these girls nice will go a long way.....it has for me.

There has been talk about charm, good looks and $$$.
It so happened the bars I visited in Thailand were populated by large, overweight older men (40-50) who would otherwise have absolutely no chance of scoring some of the very moist Thai girls I saw.
Please...to be hooking up chics like that in that kind of form you need $$$. Although I suppose there would be exceptions.
When we were in one Thai bar myself along with some devilishly/ridiculously good looking friends rocked up to some MP in Patpong.
A lot of the chics left the undesirables they were with to try an entice some of my friends. This was ok until they realised none of the guys were interested in paying for sex (as we had just come to check out Patpong).
There was an incident later in the night when the girls realised my friends werent paying. One of them grabbed my friends glasses, threw them on the ground while another girl jumped my friend coming out of the toliets and tried to pin him against the wall.
My friends got the hell out of there.
Moral of the story...good looks are important and will separate the desirables from the skanksters but at the end of the day you are in a massage parlour where the girls are paid to sleep with you.
Yeah I also agree with what was said with manners but no chic will go for a guy who is loud abusive etc.
But I am sure as mentioned earlier any girl would rather be savaged by some ripped hunk (I am always working on my six-pack) than many of the fat/overweight bearded guys I saw in the bars.

Quite. This is their JOB. Girls don't go into the biz for sex, and it's nuts to think that any BG who is also attractive to Thai guys is reliant on farang clients to get her rocks off. She's very far from sex-starved, and she can get her 6-pack servicing elsewhere.
I suspect most girls have their own minimum standard, below which they won't stoop unless they're desperate. Above that, looks are just one factor among many, and unlikely to be the most important. I don't think a good-looking guy who's also shabby, loud-mouthed and boorish need assume he's first in the queue by any means.
But let's not generalise too much. BGs differ, and as with anyone else, their moods shift from day to day. A girl who was revolted by a rich grotesque last night, will probably look for something a little more physically appealing for her next outing. A girl who's just been through a hard time with some handsome young jerk will probably try to hitch up with a 'nice guy'. I suspect people who are looking for some iron law in all this will look in vain.
