< (1) This is a small world. What if after chatting with a stranger in a MP, it turned out the stranger knows someone you know back home. I wouldn't want that to happen if I were on a stealth trip to BKK's MPs. You never know if the other guy has a big mouth or not >
Can you imagine? You travel half way around the world and assume the last person you would ever run into inside of a Bangkok massage parlour would be a next door neighbor or a co-worker. That would take your breath away. But I think in this day of internet forums on places like Bangkok, it very well could happen...
Something to think about I suppose.

Same reason I bring a walkman on the airplane, whether I really am listening to music or not. Just saves one from having some inane conversation with your seatmate that you have no control over.

told her about the job I recently interviewed for, then she started about the industry I work in, & next thing you know we're discussing people we know mutually, f***in' crazy tiny World, and it 's getting smaller by the minute due to the Web

Since I started travelling to LOS I have "bumped into" :-
my next door neighbough with a GF in robinsons food hall I also had a gf with me.
A guy from my section he was coming out and I was going into Annies.
A american from my section we joined up and had a 4som trip to Hua Hin (in seperate rooms.)
A guy from my unit on Sukhumvit He was so drunk he didn't even see me. That cost him several drinks the next day
A guy from my home town we both went and enjoyed ourselves in cowboy
A Guy I worked with years ago He's retired to BKK with a gf (I haven't met her yet maybe he knows me and doesn't trust me either)
My only chat with someone I didn't know was a swede and he must have been a regular as he told me all the tit bits about all the ladies available in a certain barber shop. His advice was good.
