Decided to check out the party Friday. Took the MRT to Huai Khwang station. Originally, I planned to catch a taxi from there. But the weather is absolutely gorgeous, and I decided to walk.
I had previously marked the Maliryn location on my GPS device according to the maps available online. GPS locked on immediately and the route displayed was 2.66 km. Took me through a twisted route but ended up right on target.
There were a number of greeters standing outside the building and one of them took me inside and gave me the tour. The place does not compare with the top end MPs, but it appears they are trying. At 7PM there were about 15 girls in the bowl, and about 8 sideliners and models on couches. I took a seat between the 2 areas. Girls in the bowl seemed to be in the 20-25 yo range. On average they were an attractive lot. The SL and models on the most part did not compare with those in higher end MPs. There was one model who caught my eye, SM22. Asked about her and was quoted 4600. Others on the couches were in the 3000 range.
There is a pub, "Return Pub", on the premises. That was the location of the party. At the front door, there was a group of very attractive "Dewars girls" mixing complementary drinks. As soon as I finished one, they replaced it with another. Soon became apparent that the free whiskey was going win - no massage girl tonite. Besides, my eyes were locked on the drink girls.
The Pub had a band playing American pop, then coyote dancers, and then a "sexy show" where a girl in pasties walks the crowd with a bottle of oil and has customers rub it on her. During the shows many of the massage girls came into the pub and sat on the inside of the semi-circle bar. Since I was sitting at the bar, I had a nice view, and attempted to chat a bit with SM22 who spoke almost no English. (BTW, I was the only westerner in the place - mostly Thai and then Japanese.)
At 11, I realized I had by this time consumed all the free whiskey I could manage and so grabbed a taxi back to the MRT station.
Will I return? Perhaps. But the out of the way location makes it unlikely. Unless I decide to check out SM22 again when I am a bit more sober.
BTW, I asked the papasan about the model photos on the web. Were they available? Or just girls hired for the photos? Answer: Girls hired for the photos - they do not work there.
