The biggest problem with the subway is that the Sukhumvit station is right at Asoke. I'm sure there will be many nights where I fully intend to go to Ratchada, but end up saying, "I'll just have one beer here first" which invariably leads to "f_ck it. This is good enough."

long time no see. i'll be back in bkk on feb28 til the 10 of march. i'll go open another bottle at la lunar and we can party with phantom v and the usual guys. informed BK of my return already. i'll be having two of my friends with me from hawaii also. one is a return and another a newbie. my question for this thread pertaing to MP's, is what do you recommend tipping as a vet. i've always tipped about 1000B. too much?

I think 1000B is a nice, safe number. Certainly at some places the girls would be happy with less, but if you're satisfied then it's probably better to be a little on the generous side. If you're picking a sideline or model and you're paying 3-4-5 k to the house then you might want to tip more.

TIPPING
Difficult topic. Tipping is a sort of UP TO YOU policy but I think that after a soapy anywhere B/.300-500 for the girl is more than enough. I think it is not necessary to give a high tip cos they can become a bit demanding later on....I met few girls who prefer to hang around mainly with the Japs cos of the high prices and tips and not because they feel nice or are treated well while at the room or during the service. This stuff is completely understandable cos money in on top of things for most of them. Attitude in some chicks has changed to be a bit arrogant/demanding....can you believe this?
I don't mean that you better NOT tip anyone with 1K. But B/.500 is A LOT for a normal MP or bar-girl. 1K tip is something only few TGs could get along the week.
yeah yeah....if anyone had a blast with a superb service of course nobody will mind to tip them properly. But in my particular case and for a regualr service ANYWHERE I tip B/.300-500.

Well, I agree with Pinga in that at most MPs (those that charge less than 2000B to the house), that 1000B is almost always unnecessary. If you weren't a dickhead and the girl was fine then 500B should be plenty. Maybe save the 1000B notes for the really special performances.

....I said I tip ANYWHERE no more than B/.500. Only a cutie from J1 got me hooked and tipped 1K. With the models at Poseidon, Emmanuels and Cleopatra B/.500 worked out smoothly....

In CP1 recently over heard the papsam concluding
negotiations with an American tourist, went something
like this " OK, so I give you US$100 for the girl
that includes the room and everything and you
pick me a really good girl and I give you a 1,000
baht tip" To late to give him the wink and probably
not a good idea to piss off the papasam, anyway
I am sure he went away happy................

about tips
1st girl: O because service was not good enough
2nd girl first time: 200 b because I was short of cash this day. She seemed happy with it.
3rd girl: 200b, because I paid 2300 b for the girl (I did not expect to take a sideline girl) and the papasan reminded me I forgot to tip him last time, so I tipped him twice. (I was cautious not to bring too much money to avoid being stolen, but it does not seem to be necessary to fear it, I think now). This girl seemed also happy and asked if I shall choose her again next time I come there.
2nd girl 2nd time: She seemed happy to see me again and service was great, she was very attentioned, although I only gave 200b last time. This time I gave 500 because she was really too kind.
So it seems that they are happy with whatever you give them, it's up to your appreciation I guess.
For the papasan, I gave 100 b, and anyway I don't need him because I take the girl I like, from her face and body, and don't ask for any advice

I think tipping 500B after getting good service from a 5K model at Poseidon is too little and I don't think she'll really be happy with it. If you showed up in the model lounge the next day and she recognized you she would probably try to avoid you and catch another customer instead.
Note that many girls will not show their displeasure when getting a low tip. They are trained at many MPs to not show dissatisfaction to the customer and can be disciplined if the customer complains.
