A lot of girls won't take a Fahrang, so if they're already willing to give you a bath, you got better odds at taking them out. Mamasan's won't show you a girl who won't take you. It is kind of a social thing, sleeping w a fahrang somehow makes you even more of a prostitue than normal. And the really expensive models get even picky within the asians. Before i met the owner, there were some models i couldn't even book in advance.
And as smegma says, price depends on work schedule. Beginning of the month is busiest as guys just get their pay checks. So if you ask a girl out on the first friday of the month, she's going to ask for a lot more. During the middle and end of the month, weekends are the worst time to go to Poseidon. All the 3rd floor models are freelancers and if they are any good, they are out with their regulars. However, some girls just want to confine work to poseidon (even i hate taking my work home). There are plenty of girls on the 3rd floor though, i'm just talking of about the top earners. Mind you, it has become clear to me that even though my tastes have been americanized, it is distinctly different from fahrangs.
The 10,000 i paid was for long time. IE, 7pm until noon the next day. Since i actually work, I have to call a girl out for the weekend. If you want something cheaper, i've met several sideline girls at Caesars that were quite nice. Caesar's doesn't have a good a sales staff as poseidon so sideline girls run the risk of getting little or no business. I've taken these girls out for 4,000 baht but for just 8pm - 1 or 2am. Its hard to take a girl out ST during a busy day because the MP's won't let a girl come to work after 6pm or is it 8, i forget.
The absolute best i've had are executive parties. We rent out a bunch of hotel room suites. An agent has a picture book and asks what your preference is and the place is full of girls. These girls can make over 20,000 baht a night. They are no prettier than the poseidon models, but they are well educated and excellant conversationalists. They are really good company. I have personally only used an agent when my boss is paying.

I disagree a little. I do not wait for the mamasan to show me girls. I take my time, I have the mamasan sit with me, and I ask them about the girls I like as they walk by. I find the ones that won't go with farangs are less than 1 in 6. And anyway...we are there... so it is not like walking in the street. So there is no game pretending they are not what they are. We all know what the game is about: 1.5 hours upstair in a room. Most times their refusal is about their misconception for "size". (read previous posts in this thread)
BTW, one of the top model girls at poseidon does goes with farangs, but not alone. Only if 2 girls go. I do not understand this logic... but that is her privilege to be choosy.
I am sorry Monk, but I guess that when it comes to knowing if girls go with farangs or not, ... a farang may know best as he would be the one who has been on the receiving end of "NO". What you may have heard may have been the girls feeding your Thai ego. -no intention to upset you, just stating a possibility-.

Taking a model or sideliner out of the MP certainly requires a lot of effort, good relations and, of course, few thousands Baht ready to be spent.
MONk has mentioned clearly the approach any farang would consider to take since quite a few "models" from hi-end MPs are reluctant to take on farans for a service, even at the establishment. Certainly, the girls showed to the customers (locals or farangs) by the mamasan are the ones who agreed before hands on taking THAT particular customer. However, this does not apply to Champ's Elys'ses where I saw girls saying SAWADEE KHA and they dismissed after greeting certain customers.
Therefore, if the connections with the establishment are already done and you happened to "know" the manager/owner/mamasan/etc. there is little problem to be serviced by these cuties and certainly makes it easier to date them outside in further ocassions.
I got few of dates with models from Poseidon and Cleopatra. Those approaches were expensive. However, after a expensive dinner and dancing sessions you certainly bang them (more than one round) but at the end you may think if it was better to take the service at the establishment rather than date them outside. In these particular cases the girls arranged a date with PINGA after their daily quota of 3 rounds were accomplished by 22:30 hrs on certain days. Well, this is just an example on dating them outside when the girls make the arrangements themselves and not when you "manage" to agree on the terms and conditions with the MP straightforward.
I asked the mamasan at Poseidon and Cleopatra how much is the total damage if I would like to spend some time with a sideliner/model and the answer was "....You have to talk to her and if the girl agrees on it the MP will ask you for the rounds she will miss here...." Usually the figure will depend on the time you are planning to take them out. As MONK said, early in the month the approach is quite difficult. They make more money staying at the MP rather than going out with a certain customer. I never heard from the sideliners or models I had that they have to pay a fee if they don't go to work. Thus, a meeting outside the establishment entirely depends on them. The damage will be less if an approach with the girl is done privately I reckon.
BTW was good to know there are agents preparing the "things", upon request, for a long session at major hotels. That was certainly good news. I particularly never heard of such a thing.

just out of interest, with the extra hassle of time, money etc etc and everyone says they are both considerable and sometimes with no guarantees. When you actually get to root one of these girls you have taken out privately and spent all this time and cash on, is the 'rooting' experience any better than if you had just taken the 2 hour session on premises. Don't forget to include the psychological impact of also having saved that extra cash and time!! Come on now and be honest.

Taking a sideliner out is definitly worth it. After you establish a relationship, theres the convenience. Sometimes its wednesday, i'm tired from work, I don't want to brave the damn traffic to go to Ratchada, so i call a girl up and if she's free ask her to meet me at my apartment. Also, they all have cute friends who also work so you can meet other girls through them. Easiest way to do so is to tell the girl you want a threesome and ask her to bring a friend. I've had good luck making relationships with sideline girls at Caesars. Another advantage is that in my experience so far, sideline girls are professional and do not do that girlfriend thing and call you up and give you sob stories and ask for money. As for costs, I paid 4,000 baht for off nights, sunday-wednesday. Which isn't that bad really, roundtrip taxi to ratchada is 150baht for me, plus 300 for two drinks, plus 200-500 tip to the mamasan, plus 500 tip to the girl, plus say Poseidons 2700 lowest rate and its close to 4000 baht already. Some sideline girls will require you to see them at the MP 2 or 3 times before the will go out with you, some will go out with after one meeting. As Pinga says, you can also arrange to meet a girl after she's finished working, but you'll have to wait until midnight, but it will be cheaper because you're only paying for one session not for a nights worth.
The higher priced models are generally not worth it. It just costs waaay too much. The problem with taking these girls out is that they are used to having millionares dropping Gucci's and Prada on them in addition to wads of cash and driving them around in Benz's and Bimmers. I've also heard of rich guys who know the owners of MPs paying for a model "girlfriend" for over 100k baht per month. I've taken a model out twice, the first was good, but expensive. The second time the girl was unimpressed by my lack of a BMW, unenthusiastic and unenergetic.
On a side note, Poseidon got several new models starting work this month. However, they only work tuesday and thursday so far. I booked one last week for 5400 baht and it was my best experience at an MP ever, don't know if it was worth the price, but it was good. I've booked another one for this coming week. I actually forgot the first girls name, i'll post them when i get them again. Most of the third floor models are required to go to work a minimum of 12 or 15 days a month. MPs have to do this otherwise they can't manage...uhm, inventory. But the higher end girls, the ones over 5000 baht, they come when they want to and almost never on weekends as they are out with their millionaire boyfriends. I'd say for most people it is not worth it, but for me, its sad to say, but MPs have become kind of routine for me and not as satisfactory as it used to be.
I've pickup up girls at pubs, places like RCA or Song Selung out in Thong Lo, by the way, off peak nights like sunday-tuesday the place is full of girls from MPs and clubs like Orbit and Forte and there aren't as many guys, other great places to see girls while they are not working are bowling alleys, though generally they are not interested in working on their night off. But the problem with that is that your hit ratio varies from week to week and you have to wait till 2am closing to ask them home. I am generally not interested in the gai's at CM2 or places like that.

Couldn't agree more. Perhaps some may say that you could say "effort and/or charm."
As said before, in terms of money, better to date them outside on their terms when it comes to timing. I have done it many times, but mostly for the sake of making sure I saw a specific girl and for the convenience of having her come to my place than me having to go all the way there. Besides they are very erratic when it comes to showing up for work... and I always hated the "call to book in advance" thing.

Part of the attraction of some of the girls is that they are not doing so many guys a day.
It tends to put me off if i know i am number 3 or 4 for the day no matter how good looking or skilled they might be.

I have om several occassions taken some of these sideliners on private arrangements before. I don't think that it is "unwise" as what was mentioned. Actually, I totally enjoyed the experience as it was a breakaway from what I had experienced with them at the establishments.
And as icing on the cake, I get a better tratment from them and without the "time pressure" when banging them !! It has also happened on several occassions that they will call me to chit-chat or to confide in some personal issues at their apartments and then one thing leads to another....that's the real ROI

First of all I would like to welcome Monk to the group!!!
With only ten posts he has given the bros a lot of good info. With the great Massage Master Pinga possibly leaving in the near future from Thailand, we will have a void that needs filled.
Monk is right on the money on why it is worth it with the sideliners. You are getting a higher level of relationship with the sideliners. Most sideliners are either funding their university studies or augmenting their day joibs to buy designer items, thus the massage is a means to an end. With most BG's their job is an end to a means. They will never leave the BG scene until old age forces them into retirement.
Of course there are exceptions to the above and great sex can be had by girls in either group. It just in the BG group you have too much social drama.
In the USA there is a pizza company called Domino's and the pizza is not so good. Ask anyone why they order it and they because they deliver. There is some to be said for just picking up the phone and having a beautiful sideliner at your door.
Yes it will cost more, but she delivers. Sometimes you are in the mood for the hunt and others you just want a delivery
