Sounds too high even with the surcharge. I did came by taxi and was quote 2800 for any of the models. I was a first timer there too. Bargain with them a little and see what happens. I went to Mona Lisa and didn't remember the price guidelines. I was quote 1600 and 1800 baht. I told him I remember paying only 1400 and 1600 baht last time and he agreed to the price saying that he forgot that I have been there before. Of course I didn't go before and he knows it but he can't say that I'm a liar, rite? It's how bargaining works in Asia.

Shoke, that was too much. The price for locals and Asian-looking guys is 2k for regular fishbowl girls and 2.8K for sideliners. A surcharge was mentioned at 1K (caucasians) and this is similar to what you will face at Emmanuelle....
TGlover, in June the cost for the services at Monalisa (left fishbowl) was 1.5K. Chicks sitting in the smallish fisbowl (right side) were available at 1.7K and the ones with a "blue pin" (sideliners) were quoted at 1.9K....have fun!

Went there with a friend. I have a favorite girl there. She told me price for Thai/Asian is 2100b and for Falangs 4200b.
There was no way I was letting him pay 4200 for a fishbowl girl, so I sent him on his way and had my romp of fun. During our session, a "boyfriend" of hers called (Polish guy), and she told him the same price too!!
Plenty of other places to go! Have fun, I know I am!!!!

I went to Caesars a few years back with a wealthy Thai friend who had been there many times before. I was told by the staff that, as a farang, the charge for me would be 2000 baht more than for Asians (basically double the price).
I was fairly outraged, and told them plainly that I was insulted and would never submit to such a blatant ripoff. My Thai friend agreed that it was completely unacceptable. We had already eaten dinner there and when we asked for the bill, they refused to let either of us pay the 500 baht dinner bill.
So, they lost my business forever, my Thai friend's business for at least that night and possibly longer, and ended up giving us a free dinner.
We ended up going across the road to a place called Mirage (I think) where, if there was a farang surcharge, amounted to no more than a few hundred baht.

Yep, basically it's double the price for farangs at Caesars and they won't negotiate that down. Similarly, Riviera and Zodiac MPs don't allow farangs at all.
No big deal, as the pu-ying quality is hardly top of the market at any of these joints. You did the right thing going to Mirage.
My impression is it's more about stroking the egos of the Asian clientele by making them feel exclusive somehow, given that the farang clientele would in any event be minimal in any of these places. Most of the ownership is Sino-Thai, hence the lack of discrimination between "Kon Thai" and "Other Asian".
The subtext is that Asians gain face, farangs lose face.

Most massages these days do not have farango surcharge. These that have surcharge are not the top popular shops anyways and they are mostly owned by Chinese Thais and wanted to keep it mostly to Chinese Thais.
A Chinese Thai friend once told me that if a massage parlor with customers of all kinds of ethnics races tend to lose the support of their main core Chinese Thai clientes. So these places normaly reject Arabs, Indians, Africans, and even reject anyone who is darker and hairy including those of latin mediterranean races. I have a Greek and Italian friends that were rejected from Plaza perhaps being looking similar to Arabs and a bit hairy.
The surcharge to westerners is a way to discourage them from coming or from coming regularly.
So if they want to protect their precious Chinese Thai clientes from containmination, we consumers simply go to the hundreds of other ones that appreciate our business.
