When I first hit the Thai scene I too was interested in the young scene( NOT kids) but soon realised that the 20 odds had a lot more to offer in language and experience. The question of whether or not she is 18 never comes into it. I always go for a girl who is clearly in her 20's. Much more fun.

Just to clarify -- The girl might have been fooling me about her age and even if it was true, I picked her at MonoLisa for 1 1/2 and then only she told about her age after asking my age...
I prefer 22-25 and she looked like 22 when I picked her... I couldn't pull out and walk away after she told me that she is 18 and will be 19 this April... 
It is good to be reminding everyone of the legal age of 19...

One point about Soi 33. The bars there are generally 'hostess bars' and yes, many girls there will go with you at the drop of a hat, but many others wont. Either because they have long-term boyfriends or they're 'not that kind of girl' (what do you mean, you don't belive me?!?).
The upshot of this is that there is a nice relaxed atmosphere and not too many drunken louts on their annual vacation.

Good points Marmite. A lot of you will know from my previous postings that I alwasy sing the praises of Soi 33. I've just got back from another 10 days in Bkk and I spent most of my spare time there. Penultimate night I went back to Cowboy as I've always liked the lack of "pushiness" (awful "English" that eh??) but I have to say it was more like Ibiza with drunken "beer-bellies" in great abundance. Now, I like having fun as much as the next man but loutish and yobbish behaviour really puts me off big time. I'll go back next trip but it was cringingly embarrassing and I really felt ashamed to be English (though it wasn't JUST the English that night) and if thats the way Cowboy is going then I'll be steering clear along with Patpong in the future. maybe some of you brothers who live in Bkk permanently can let me know if this is a trend or was just one "off day">> - Thanks

I wondered where you had been. Lucky devil.
When I spent a little time in soi Cowboy last month it was pretty quiet. Admittedly I was there early( around 7PM) and again late( after midnight)
Didn't see any loud drunkeness. Like you I steer well away from the yobs and wouldn't have stayed there at all if the piss- head brigade turn up.

When I visited Soi Cowboy a little over a month ago (my first visit), the street was empty. I tried to go into Long Gun that all the brothers wrote so much about, but as I posted on my return, I was gently told it was for members only (I am from India). So I guess I won't be visiting there again but it is a pity if that street also has to subject itself to the drunkenness of foreigners....be they farangs or asians.
