Yes. In general, I found that most of what I personally considered to be the best looking girls were to be found in MP's.
I concur. I can hardly think of any really unattractive girl
at an MP . & I've been in this game for many, many, years.
I've seen many more unattractive girls in bars.
Of course there are differences in the quality of girls from bar to bar, likewise in MPs' . But as a generalization : MP girls beat bar girls, in looks - just my opinion.
Far more important than looks is the attitude of a girl ,
a bar allows one to assess attitude in a very much better way than a MP.

the quoted thb 20-30k a month for a good mp girls is far to low. an ordinary mp girl will make between thb 50-80k a month. stars are way beyond the 100k a month mark.
also gogo stars are easily beyond the this mark. even an average gogo girl will make thb 20 k a month!
this is why this trade is so rewarding compared to an office or counter job!

20-30K for a MP girl is actually about right. A lot of the fish bowl girls come from the country side. Some are paid advances to get cosmetic surgury like botox or cologen injections to getting eye folds. They are paid a base salary and are required to work pretty much any day they are not on they are not menstrating.
Sideline girls on the other hand are not salaried and have more flexibility on when they come to work. Usually they'll have regular side customers. The amount of money these girls make vary widely. I know girls who can earn 25-30K a week. They work for a week or two and then take the rest of the month off and then when they are out of cash and rent is due they come back to work. Other girls work more often and can make 100K+ a month. Then there are some girls who manage to find a rich tycoons who pay them 100K+ monthly salary and get them apartments and what not.

If you refer as a pro to a potential "bar girl" I disagree with the comment cited above.
IMHO Thai society has a very clear line dividing the "bar girls" and the daytime working ones. There are so many girls (and guys) working daily for the 10K or even 5K a month (factory workers, 7-11, etc.). Certainly, they are not happy with that. However, these daytime working girls don't feel the sort of rejection that the "bar girls" do everywhere they go.
If you observe carefully you will realise how this particular issue works i.e. streets, BTS, shopping malls, etc. Thai people can easily identify who is who and not only because of the way the girls particularly dress. In fact, my rich colleagues often mention that they are surprised each time they see very well-dressed good-looking girls at Emporium or Central but sadly surprised when they listen what/how they speak. Guess who are them....

This is very true. I would say dress, body and facial language are the other factors that give people away. People who don't speak the language (farang) can be fooled if the girl dresses well, and "moves" well because we do not get to notice subtleties in the language and tone.
Even back home, we can ourselves tell about someones background from the way she/he talks. We should not be surprised that it happens more so here, where there are even words that are used only by certain groups of society as to differentiate among themselves.
In all my time, I have only met one person working at night (not p4p) that has passed the language test with other hi-so Thais (though they put her on the mi-so category).
