But, looking at the reality of her situation, this lady does not work in the fields back home. She works in the city where foreigners of all nations every day spend money, wave it around, brag about it and waste it as if it were nothing to them.
She works and lives in a different environment to her Issan brother.
We don't know the conversation that went on between them when he was having a good time with her.
Maybe he gave her the impression the 1000 baht was nothing to him, thus prompting her to dare to ask for more. Or one million baht.
I do not like the idea of a lady asking for more, having been given a generous tip. And it was generous.
But I also disagree with the punter taking some of the tip back.
Both were wrong.
As for 100 baht per day working on the land in the hot sun............... You are right.
But do we follow the logic of that and conclude that 100 baht should be the generous tip ? I think not.
Some of these ladies who work in the sex industry receive no salary. They exist merely on what they can make in 'extra' services and tips.
And some of these parlours lay monthly charges on the ladies for compulsory purchases that the parlour makes for them,i.e. tissues, condoms, creams, lotions, oil, KY, hand lotion, listerine all at parlour prices, not to mention the charge put on the so-called uniform of the establishment. In some of these places they are milked beyond belief.
Now I like to suck on a good pair of breasts myself occasionally, but I certainly wouldn't like to feel as if I was milking the lady of her hard-earned cash as well.
And as those of us from more affluent societies, like yourself, know, 500 baht now-a-days is hardly even chicken-feed.
