Please excuse my newbieness. I will be in Bkk in a weeks time and will be staying at Majestic suites. I wish to know whats the best possible way to go to Poseidon. Considering me a newbie, do you guys reckon a taxi will be good as I am not aware of the subway stations and routes.
1) How should I explain the taxi driver to take me to Poseidon?
2) I want to reach at Poseidon by 6 PM, so what time do I leave from Suk?
3) How much is the charge from Suk to Poseidon?

Uncle Fester, Firstly please remove the light bulb from your mouth before going to Poseiden.
OK,, now the help,, go to main page of bangkok tonight, click on massage see Poseiden, click on map print and hand to taxi driver saying " GRAND HOTEL " so no extra charges.
If you are travelling in "peak hour" times I recommend a motor bike taxi, just tell him GRAND HOTEL, Ratchadapisek SOI 17. ( actually say Ratchadapisek SOI SIP JET -------- SIP JET being Thai for 17 or even write the number 17)

Cmon Gibson, let's not be inconsiderate to our new friend here.
Do not take a motobike taxi on Rachada if you are a newbie... too dangerous as they will not likely have a helmut for you. And no need to take a taxi, just BTS to Asoke and go downstairs to the Subway and tell the man in the booth you are going to Suttisan. When you exit the Subway there Poseiden is a 5 min walk back toward the previous Subway stop, Huay Kwang.
Then go in, select a hottie you see behind the glass on the 2nd floor, and let that sexy lady take you to heaven.

also for cc (cheap charlies ) there is a hotel for 12.50$ a night within a 90 second walk from poseidons.
yes I do get a commission.....................lol.
why do you want to go poseidons anyway, it doesnt get many good reviews.
but since youre going why dont you try to get a penthouse model and tell us how it went. $10 to mamasan and im sure shell get you one.

If you are a newby and staying at majestic why not try Annies. This is very close to your hotel.
Check the threads on the board.
It is within a couple of hundred yards from your hotel.

To be more accurate...if your non-thai you can expect to pay a surcharge. If your Korean, Japanese, Chinese or whatever and the mama or papasan suspects it, you'll be charged the surcharge also.

Not sure where you are getting that from. I know plenty of asian customers who go to Poseidon and they have never been given a surcharge. On the otherhand some foreigners MIGHT be levied a surcharge regardless if the papasan or manager simply doesn't like you.

that is actually not a stupid question at all. I use my credit card only at the atm while in los. if you can use your credit card in poseidon, I can't help sorry. in general, be careful and never let your credit card out of sight.
