This isn't something anyone can really determine. Some girls work with some guys other girls won't. You'll have to take the blind leap of faith based on instinct..that's what makes some of this fun  .

Every girl in the fishbowl will size up every guy who walks in quickly. So if a girl is looking down or around but not at you, chances are she has decided she does not want to be picked by you. However if a girl is smiling or waving or seeming to be talking (moving her lips/mouth) to you, she is making a play for you and you have a good chance for a connection.
Do not listen to the papasan suggestions. He has no idea who will like you. But if you want some special service like anal or CIM, he may know who or who not to choose.
Like the previous poster said.... no gurarantees. Use your common sense and feelings and you will get better at it each time.

Not a hard and fast rule, but if the gals see you tip the papasan and the drink waitress before service begins, they at least mark off the cheapskate factor from their rather limited mental checklist. It certainly doesn't mean you need to tip them if they are not up to stuff either and will clearly send them a message that something was lacking.
To rock or not to rock their world:
-cheapskate?
-cleanliness?
-marathon sex *bad*?
-generally nice guy?
-finally, at least remotely attractive?

Not all fishbowls are created equal. In many fishbowls for the MPs in Ratchada, the girls will not be able to see you. I seriously doubt if they will notice whether or not you're tipping the waitress for your drink. If you're looking to get noticed, the best thing to do is to tip your papasan or mamasan in front of your girl. That will still not guarantee you excellent service with your girl though. Ultimately, it will still boil down to the chemistry/attraction between you and the girl.

WTF do you mean: mirrored glass fishbowls ? In my observation in ALL MP the girls can observe the punters except of course those with handicapped eye sight

Some windows are tinted. Some of the lobbies are dark. Unless you're standing right in front of the fishbowl, I doubt the girls are staring at you or even forming opinions about you. Most of the time, they're watching TV or talking among themselves.
The point I'm trying to make is that I highly doubt the girls are sizing up every single guy coming and going.
