I wouldn't worry about it. 4,000 is somewhat high. 2,000 would be more in-line. However, if she was good to you, 4,000 is a nice gesture. I've tipped that amount before if service was great and she spent the whole night with me. It's very rare, though. My view is that if the service is good, tip her well. I think a lot of the guys who are cheap don't have much enjoyment.

Thanks for the input. Wow that definately put something into perspective. But do they charge that particular amount or just a random amount? I don't expect her to provide service to me 24 hours for the three days trek so I would think she wouldn't charge me for that amount. Then again, I'm a newbie and with this being my 2nd trip... anything is possible especially since I'm a "hansum" man.

As mentioned in several posts throughout BTF everything is negotiable. If, as you point out, you are a handsome man and you are going somewhere fun then maybe the price is a bit lower. Spend some time with her and if she likes you who knows. Remember, this will be a vacation for her and a break from the action for a while. Unfortunately also a break from the income. Just make her a reasonable offer on the low side. You never know. If she gives you an outrageous figure then move on.

Of course, the more days you take her out on a stretch, the lower you can average the price per day.

This is true... actually all girls.. in all places make about half of what you pay... except for maybe some of the higher end models who have much higher rates...
you have to see this from their point of view as well... first as you may or may not know.. they are looked over by a judge as you will to determine if they are bowl or sideline material.. thus placing them into a price category... but lets say you are a 2900 girl and you want to move up to 3500.. the price difference for most farangs and richer asian men does not mean that much. But for Thais this could be potentially cash-blowing...
take the average income of most thai men (I am talking general here) in the above 26+ age group.. talking like 15K - 30K they might not be willing to go the extra 600 baht to get the higher price girl. and the money that goes to the girl is only 300 baht more. not much we are talking here but will price them out of more potential customers.
so for a girl making 1500 out of 2900 and then another making 1800 out of 3500, the difference is slight... put could pose major problems to the average thai...
again like Smegma said about the sideliners.
3 sessions is normally max for these girls.. take into account the time they come in to work and the hours.. say like 6pm, one session, then 8pm another, then perhaps dinner (they have to eat you know), then again at 10ish (which would put them over the 11pm last call (which entails sessions limited to only 1 hour)
