i'm now in 2 minds.
of course the cost of the operation might not be the end of it - after care, etc.
if I go with her to the hospital - which makes sense - it will mean tho that my short time in bangkok might not be much fun with her - post-operatiojn condition.
i'm still trying to work out just how good our time was together. I was expecting to see something of bangkok with her but she caught a cold at the end of our time + left the hotel on the last morning straight after breakfast leaving me with several hours to kill before my flight. and I did feel quite deflated.
her emails since are v loving and always talk about missing me so much.
anyway perhaps the answer is to pick a girl for a night and not plan too much about it.
on a different note I also spent some time in phnom penh + the massage there was fab.

you can still be there during the operation and while she is recovering. sneak away once a day for some "food". good fun, believe me. 
i used to translate emails for the girls at a internet shop. they know the cut and paste funcion. the same (or allmost the same) email goes to bob in the us, mark in canada, stefan in germany and so on. enjoy the service, but don't get to worked up.

You might want to call the hospital to ask for ball park amounts for this type of operation. Not that she would be exaggerating but...
It also sounds like you have cooled off a bit after the trip. That is a good thing as you always need time to sort through your feelings. If you help her, don't let yourself believe that you have an ongoing relationship unless thats what you want. She needs to be grateful for what you have done and if she isn't, next stop: Dumpsville!

Not sure about Bumrungrad...but this operation is much cheaper then BT 20,000 and very comon in Thailand. Just try to check other hospitals.
If you really in double mind and wanna listen to your softer heart. Pay directly to the Hospital. Give her a Well wisher kiss on the cheek and walk towards Nana.

yes I am feeling a bit mixed up. it comes from having a woman after a long break! but it's all been v flattering.
i know you can't say about my girl but do you think it's likely she's emailing other guys at the same time?
+ I suppose a long term relationship really isn't gonna happen is it?
i didn't pick the youngest girl (or maybe prettiest) girl from annie's but someone who's older + closer to my age so that there might be something that would last beyond a 4 night stand.

Check out the prices of the operation on your own. If the amount comes in where she said, it is a good sign to begin with. If it is way less than she suggests, there could be a problem.

If this girl left you alone for the last hours of your trip, she could well have been moving on to the next customer. She may have liked you, that might not have been BS, but all these women have been lied to and taken advantage of by customers and are a bit hardened by it. They won't, actually can't, afford to cut off their options with other men until you're ready to marry and take them somewhere else.
Are you ready to do that with this women? That's what you need to ask yourself. If you can't say yes, then I recommend you refer to my first post and zip your wallet. It's too risky. Whether she actually gets an operation, or even needs one, or not, more requests for money will follow. Do you want that from a woman you're not planning to marry?

again thanks guys for the input + support.
i've been behaving like a 17 year old these last couple of weeks but have now sent an email (gently) ditching my thai girl - much to the relief I think of my 2 grown up children - tho my thai girl is choosing not to respond to the tenor of my last message so i'm gonna have to be a bit more blunt - not like me at all.
anyway it means I won't be rushing back to bkk in the v near future + paying for ops, etc,.
sanity reigns again I think.
so I won't be going back to annie's when I do return to bkk cos I know the girls talk to each other about customers.
any thoughts about an alternative venue -
