I don't think there are any large massage parlours that are not Thai-Chinese owned. And either way, not all Thai-Chinese run their businesses in the same way. Like all people, they have different, better and worse business policies.

On my 1st trip to LOS I went to Ceasars with somemates, had a choof or 2 and was as pissed as 10men, saw the SPa and thought its bigger than my swimming pool, some silly f*** dived in all the girls jumped in and so the rest of the boys all got in, I dived down under a sheilas legs to bite her on the hairy lassoo and hit my head on the bottom of the spa, split my eye open and had 12 sluts all wanting to be my nurse, natch I played it for all it was worth. Was a absolute blast.

Stopped by Caesars last month probably around 20:00 on a Tues or Weds night. The FB was pretty spacious, but only had less than half a dozen gals behind the glass. Sideline easily had about 20 gals, some were damn nice looking. Was also quoted 4000-4500 range for the sideliners (not much inflation in 2.5 years), but the asking price was a bit high for what I saw available, more than what I was quoted at Poseidon. Took my time and finished my drink, then decided to leave. Mama-san gave me the over-dramatic "Oh brother, I can't believe it" look, complete with obligatory eye-roll as I headed for the door. 
Unfortunately never made it back to check out the weekend line-up, will definitely give Caesars another look next BKK visit.

Actually this is a mis-communication and culture clash.
In Asia it is like that, if the BKK mamasan respected your well heeled and reputed Thai friend, they will refuse to charge him for dinner.
Not because they think he or you cannot afford it.
It is like, they consider your friend VIP and thus it is unthinkable to make him pay for something so trivial as dinner.
If you are British, imagine having the Queen for dinner at your restaurant and then presenting her with a bill.
Something like that.

Yeah, I understand they respected him, but they didn't respect his farang friend (me).
Obviously, either of us were perfectly able to afford a 500 baht dinner bill. The refusal to let us pay for the meal was their pathetic attempt to defuse the situation after I told them they had insulted me by trying to make me pay double for the massage.
Culture-clash maybe, mis-communication no.
The point of my post is simply, if you are not of East-Asian origin, do not go to Caesar's. They don't want you there and they can stuff it as far as I am concerned as there are plenty of other places around without such policies.
