guys,
you can jump all over me, but I am going to come to massagelovers defense here.
He did not enjoy his time at Annies, and he also picked up a dose there.
He is sharing that info with the readers of this forum, which is what it's pupose is.
Jumping all over him for doing this is not exactly encouraging people to post their experiences and opinions.
And before anybody gets at me, I have been to Annies, had a great time, and I will go back next trip. I also caught a dose on a previous visit to BKK, not sure where from. I have been back since, and will be back soon.

We are not "jumping all over" this guy because of him complaining about annies...But if you look at the forum at the moment there is a very hight number of suspicious new threads about this place, and all those threads are started by bright new members....and honnestly the post of mr massagelover is the most obvious BS I ever read (first post he say he stayed one week...second post only 48h 555)
I would never "attack" anyone who would honnestly share a bad experience (has you said this forum is made for this),but we do not need anyone to submit BS here....
Of course its possible that this guy has a bad experience and got his "dose" there...has it is possible in any MP (happened to me too, would happen again I m afraid),but doing such a description of the place is simply useless and childhish....

If the girl likes you and it's late, you can overnight there. Did so a couple of months ago. OK - it's not the Marriott, but I never felt it to be particularly dirty (tacky, with those gold plaster bas reliefs of busty females on the walls, certainly, but dirty - no more so than other MP's I've visited).
And the price is certainly more reasonable than the other Sukhumvit Road establishment, Darling, for essentially the same service: 1,500 as opposed to the 2,500 baht I was quoted.
And Annie's certainly has a kind of disorganized friendly charm about it. When I entered Darling for the first time recently, I was put off by the not-too-friendly Chinese-Thai papasans in suits.
I'll certainly continue patronizing Annie's.

Strikes me there are 3 "grumpy faces" at Darling, and no one could could count them among the better reasons to visit the place. They all look like Yakuza types, with looks that will freeze water. "Cheer guest" does not really apply here. Dunno though... they are all 20+ year veterans, and anyone working the lobby of an MP would probably end up looking the same after that many years....

Update:
The first (pill) treatment with 500 mg Ciproxin did not work.
A shot with 250mg Ceftriaxon did finally help.
Oh boy, what a relief...

Guys,
I haven't followed the whole thread, and didn't visit Annie's this time. I do feel that you are being a little harsh on MassageLover.
The fact that Annie's is cheap and cheerful, and gives good service, doesn't nullify in any way his own experience.
His story is plausible, and I have no reason to doubt it. In fact, it is in no one's interest to minimize the risks involved; he is doing everyone a favour by reminding us that we are taking a risk every time we have a BBBJ.
Good for him for being honest.
Let's not blind ourselves.
