Mirage is closed at present for extensive renovations.
Work is actually being carried out, so the closure may be in a different category to New Cleopatra, which has been closed a long while. But as for a re-opening date, well, this is Thailand...

There been a lot of work done but Mirage is still not re-opened.
Judging from the exterior, the renovated facility will be a considerable step up-market. Even before the renovation, I would say that, so far as building condition goes, Mirage was better than, say, Plaza.
Definitely worth a visit when it's back in business.

Hip Hotel is next door to all the Ratchada MPs, and girl-friendly according to Tim.
Would be an alternative to Suk, If only the traffic wasn't such a pain... or if the MRT operated 24/7.
