I remember giving in at Darlings once to tip pressure from one part of a double team. And I am sure it happened a few times elsewhere.
These days if I get a complaint about the tip I offer, I will withdraw it and leave.
My not tipping no doubt leaves no lasting impression or lesson learned, but I feel better about myself. I admit, that's all I care about in that situation.

In my experience this propensity to lobby for excessive tips seems to be a general problem at soapy massage places. I think I have encountered such pressure from girls at just about all of the soapys I have visited, although it should be noted that not all girls try it on, nor is this a problem in soapys outside Bangkok. I can't remember girls ever asking me for outrageous tips in Khorat, Khon Kaen, Kanchanaburri, (even) Pattaya or other places I have been up country.
But I am convinced that this practice has become more common over the years I have been indulging in P4P in Bangkok. Interestingly this does not seem to be quite such a problem in oily massage places and that is a factor in why I tend mostly to use oilies these days. It's a pity because I always used to really enjoy the soapy routine especially where the traditional slip and slide on the mattress was available. I suppose this raises the question as to whether any of us know a good soapy where the girls do not try and gouge the customers, bearing in mind that this is a YMMV issue.
