I lived with a girl for some time who would do the Buddhist mantras and prayers for an interminable amount of time each evening before bed.
I didn't mind as she then spent half the night attending to my needs in order to gain more merit.
But years ago, I lived with another girl who viewed that having sex in the daylight hours lost her huge amounts of merit.
Luckily,I had very thick curtains at the time to create the impression of darkness.
Apparently,she had no objection to artificial light.
Maybe she got a commission from the Electricity board.
