ps I have met some nice drivers but overall most just want to rip you off.
no fun being taken advantage of. only people worse than cabs r mama and papa sans at massage parlours.

went there today... pretty far from suk.. took me 45 mins drive from soi 23..
spa is legit and very value for money. took the 3 hours package.. 1 hr scrub, 1 hr cream massage and 1 hr foor reflex.. all for only 1700 bht..
went to the soapy section after that.. gf was stopped after walking in 10 m... so she hanged around tables around entrance while I checked out the talent.
very very high and best ive seen since utopia.. at least 5 that I could do..
sideliner start at 3000 bht... got to get back there some day soon...

I spend big at MPs because I usually want to leave satisfied and in control of the girls. Being a cheap-charlie usually gets cheap service or service with an attitude. Pay the girl, she will give you what you want and control. If the girl watches TV, I shut it off. My first time on the bus, I put out a 1 baht, 5 baht and 10 baht coin. The girl took the 5 baht coin. No cheap charlie on a 5 baht bus. You pay the fare, you get taken for a ride. LOL!
Now like xxxzz stated, why not walk? Well I used to do that. I walked from BTS to this place and many others, including Meree. Great exercise, but at the same time studied the bus system without a map. Now I take the busses. Why I don't continue walking? Well I do now and then, but remember, walking with all the stray dogs lying around can be a risk. So I take a bus. That's why there are buses. Enjoy!

A whole day would be very workable here, unlike any other MP that I can think of. The upstairs spa has excellent infrastructure... sauna, cold plunge, jacuzzi (be very careful of the floor though... deadly slippery when wet). Good legit massage in a relaxing ambience. And the coffee shop serves above average food (the Thai is better than the foreign). Secure a table with a view of the main bowl or sideline areas and you won't be disappointed....

Wrong info. The 133 doesn't have an aircon. From the BTS there is simply no aircon to Osaka.
You might catch a 133 to Pattanakarn and then switch to 517 or 11 (aircon) but a hassle. Not worth it as you're already closeby if you arrive at Pattanakarn.

BTS Asoke to MTS Petchaburi to 11 Aircon to Tarawadee. But you have to wait for each segment.
The 133 non-aircon, my recommendation, for just 5 baht and a window seat, elbow outside, is just the best. Cooler return at night for the 133 + less people on the bus for an additional 5 baht. Great ride, lots of fun, no taxi drivers making wrong turns. Can't miss the BTS bridge approaching when time to get off, if lost.
Definately doing a whole day in August w/ 2-girls at the end.

How much is a taxi from Suk? Where should I ask to go in order that the driver knows where to go but doesn't benefit from a tip at my expense from the MP?
I'm gonna be at Sheraton Grande on 28th and 31st, and would like to spend a few hours there.

Take the BTS to Prakanong and get a taxi there. It will be away from the traffic and cost you less (but you do have to pay for the BTS). Ask the driver to let you off at Soi 44 on Pattanakarn, which is the street that Petchaburi changes into. Any smart taxi driver will know why you are going to Soi 44 on Pattanakarn, anyway. Unless you say you are going to the BAAN SIRI RAMA PALACE, which is 600 meters away.

Let me see if I understand correctly. From the Prakanong skytrain station, catch #133 northbound on Prakanong (opposite Big C?) and the bus stops on Pattanakarn opposite Tharawadee?
Catch #133 again in front of Tharawadee to go directly back to the Prakanong station? Is the bustop to east or west of Tharawadee?
