Since the lab couldn't find any infection, the doctor called it "uretheritis of unknown origin". There was some pus at the tip of my penis, along with swelling and painful urination. The swelling went away within 3 days.
I went to the USA to visit my family 2 days after seeing the doctor, and I can only imagine the cost of seeing a US doctor without health insurance. I paid only 1,700 baht for the English-speaking doctor, lab work, and a 5 day supply of Cipro. I think seeing an American doctor would cost at least $80, and who knows how much the lab and Cipro would cost.

Interesting - yeah, it could very well be that you caught a 'bug' from some other source, and that it just came out during a similar time. Heck, urethritis in general could be ANY kind of infection that you got, just by having your dick hang out and touch the wrong surfaces, or wearing too tight underwear in 90 degree weather with high humidity. Nevertheless, sounds to me like the girl might have had something infectious in her mouth.

Yeah, medical prices in LOS are damn good compared to the US, and while I have insurance, I do plan on having some work done (dental, superficials) while there again. Had moles removed my last trip - 5 moles, with lasers, for $180 US. At Bumrumgrad, great job.

Yes, the cost of health treatment is very reasonable in LOS.
And the funny thing is it seams cheaper for us falang.
A number of years ago I had an accident and spent 3 day in hospital. 
A year later my ex-GF writes to say she borrowed a bike, had an accident and had to spend a night in hospital, please send money.
The funny thing was the bill was a lot larger than mine, though I wonder just how many passengers were on the bike at the time

I always unroll my condoms before I put them on and pour in them a small amount of petrol (gasoline) that I keep in a small squeeze bottle and give the condom a good rinsing (you can't be too careful). Then I put the condom in a microwave oven on high for one minute to make sure I kill all the bacteria before carefully putting it on my dick.
