Taxi fare no higher than 60 baht (probably less than 50), unless you go in rush hour.
Sputnik, you must be seeing ghosts as there is no friggin BigC on Sukhumvit.
Again, frankly I don't see any reason to discuss bus routes when the taxi fare is so low.

Harold44, my experience with taxi drivers has been mostly positive. It's every once in a while that I get an a**hole. In fact, a taxi driver surprised the hell out of me on a trip to Tharawadee. Upon arrival, I withdrew all the coins from my pocket to pay the fare with. Noticing that I was short a few baht, he said "mai bpen rai". He wanted me to go in and get some luvin'. They're not all out there to rip you off.
Slowx, yes time is money but in my case I usually stay in BKK for an extended period of time so things are not so rush rush for me. There's no need to squeeze in so many activities within a short timeframe. I sometimes like to just hop on a bus and get away from the white ghetto and explore parts of town I haven't seen.

So where is the Prakanong Train Station? On Soi 71? No, of course not, on Sukhumvit.
It doesn't make a lot of sense to get off the BTS and then walk to Jusco two stops away from there if there is a stop at the BTS station itself.
Sputnik, you better take a taxi.... you already got lost before boarding #133....

Hello gents,
Encyclopedical knowlege both on convenience stores and tranportation to the premises: meter vs tuktuk vs airco bus vs non airco bus vs walk. BigC vs Jusco. Personally I prefer to travel by elephant though; do you think it would be safe to leave my cow behind the elephant monument on the corner of Th Pattanakarn and Soi 44 and are outbound elephants allowed to U-turn on Pattanakarn in order to reach Soi 44 ? Would it be possible to buy elephant food at the nearby 7/11 S W E or North ? Or should I post this under newbee questions ?
Merely on a P4P side note: is it correct that sunday afternoon discount at groundfloor resort is 400 baht on each girl-two (?) -hour-session hence would two S-girls in one two hour session = two two hour sessions with one S-girl = 2 x (2100-400) = 3400 checkbin for DFK, BBBJ, CIM, swallow, backdoor, dual shot per girl/session hence four shots or is it that YMMV ? Or should I post this also under newbee questions ? Thank you.
