hi guys, there seems a lot of coverage of chao phraya 2 mp and i intend to go there, but it also says something about there being another mp opposite, called chao phraya 1? is this true? and if so are they easy to tell apart?(ones meant to be ALOT more expensive than the other apparently) are they clearly marked 1 and 2 in english?

No difficulty in telling one from the other - the signs are in Thai and English. As I recall, CP1 has a big sign with its alternative name, J-One.

There is even a card to print out for the taxi driver. CP2 doesn't give taxi drivers commissions, so he may pretend confusion and take you to CP1 - you'll see the big J-One sign if he does. Just tell him to take you to CP2, or get out and walk.

How far is this CP2 to Sukhumvit ???
I will be staying @ Ambassador Hotel... was keen to give CP2 a visit.

cp2 is about 3-4 kilometer from the ambassador hotel direction khao sarn road! there are much better options closer to the ambassador than cp2.
plaza entertainment and darling would be the closest, also all the major mp's on petchaburi road and ratchada are in much closer rangen than cp2, which is a crappy place anyway!
