Just wanted to post my experience at Annies. Was my last day in Thailand and I went to Annies for my second time. First time I picked girl number 20 and she was good but bugged me for a tip half way through (which kinda ruins it) also she was mostly mechanical with little emotion.
On my last night I picked girl # 29 (I would rate her a 7 in looks but a 9 in attitude) and mamasan immediately said good choice as girl is "very funny and very nice".
Well this girl was certainly fun loving and not the least bit mechanical. She came out and greeted me. We ordered some drinks (she choose a Heineken which is more proof of fun loving) and we proceeded to the room.
Certainly she was always smiling, laughing and giggling. Now I understand that some do not like the giggling but it was done in good nature. Her oral technique was excellent and her massage was also good. At this point in my trip I only wanted BBBJ's so thats all I got from her (came twice in her mouth).
Now for those who have read my earlier posts in the field reports section you will know that I had some less than memorable experiences in massage parlours but this last one really set straight all that was wrong.
Let me also add that not once did she ever make mention of anything about a tip and as such I gave her a 250 baht tip.
Total damage 1680 baht for massage and drink for me and lady, and 250 baht for tip. So great time for under 2000 baht.
For those who are on a budget (as I was toward the end of my 3 weeks in LOS) I would recommend Annies and # 29 for a good time under 2000 baht.

From what I understand you should tip the Annies girls 500 baht. That is sort of standard there. I think a good massage parlor experience (in theory I don't like and have never partaken) would be 2000 baht. If the parlor charges 1, 1.5 etc then tack on 1k or 500 to equal 2000 baht. In the more upscale parlors then you may pay 2.5 which a tip will bring it to 3 or 3.5. To date I have never had a soapy. I kinda think of it as a whorehouse and run by pimps but that is my opinion only. I love traditional massages and have never asked for extras...

A few months ago I had a "traditional" massage at CP2 for 500 baht. ÝSince the excellent special service went far beyond what's traditional, I offered 1,500 baht as a tip. ÝThe MP girl said that that was much too much, and promptly gave me back 500 baht!
Pretty much quashes the 2,000 baht rule you suggest, don't you think?

When I get in room massage I pay the going rate for the massage and give the girl 500 in Pattaya and up to 1000 in BKK for full service. I only pay this if I'm going to keep her for 2 or 3 hours.

OK, so a general concensus...
Let me get this right...Annies is worth the visit for a cheap massage. I am not going to limit myself to just this MP but want to know if this should be added to my list.
I understand the girls aren't exactly stunners and the service can be questionable at best but it IS cheap, does the job and is discrete (as apposed to lurking in bars, etc)
Sums it up? (generally speaking)

IMHO is worth the visit and the service, I've received form the girls, I would rate very good to excellent. I always go with the managers suggustions. I always go early in the afternoon as the girls are still fresh. Good value for the money.

I too was recently at Annie's for a session. Was around 11:00pm, not much of a selection (again). #29 also caught my eye, but for the wrong reason. As I posted earlier in the same forum, I think there are several "ex-guys" working at Annies. The one you chose, #29, I believe is one of them. I took #11, decent chest, nice butt, kind of funny voice, but definitely a woman. We got in the room, got my soapie done, then went to get the regular massage. This was when I started asking her questions about the others working there....how many katooeys worked there, and was Sai #28 one of them. She said didn't know how many of them were "ex-guys", but said #29 was for sure. But #28 Sai, she said no. So GROUNDPOUNDER, you got me on that one!! She also said #28 only gets 1 guy a night, max, not 2 or 3. Still, 1 is better than none at all. For mamasan, she said YES, katooey. Also asked her how much of the 1000 baht she gets...kind of surprised me when she said 0, ZERO, ZILCH! So I asked her again, to make sure, and again, she said they don't get any of that, mamasan keeps it all. She only works for the tips. She works there 7 days a week, and if she misses a day, she owes the house 1000 baht, and if it's a Fri or Sat night, something like 4000 baht. Rating #11, I'd say her soapie technique was AVG, her reg massage was EXCELLENT (though it hurt a little!), attitude was EXCELLENT. She was happy that I left after only 75 mins, since I started at 11:15pm, tipped her 500 b, and told her I would give her a nice rating on the internet. So next time any of you are at Annie's, check out #29 and tell me if you think "she" is 100% woman...I say no, and so does #11. I also kind of liked #22, nice thin body, but a little older, but still looks good. I asked mamasan how old she was, and she told me 23!! HA HA HA! Maybe 10+ years ago. I told that to #11, and she also laughed, said at least 30+.
