Ý Ý Took my first trip to LOS a few weeks ago with my good friend Didiriese. Many thanks to all the Bros for their wonderfully informative posts, which helped to make this an adventure to remember.
Ý Ý Now, to my question: I'd read in the Go-go bar forum that one can get a reputation for being a "butterfly" for taking different girls from the same bar, and that this could result in "loss of face" for the bar girls involved. Can one also be labled with a similar moniker in an MP, and is there also a resultant loss of face for the massage girls?
Ý Ý Didiriese and I visited the Poseidon Model Lounge three nights in a row, and took different girls each time.

These girls shouldn't be getting attached to every customer that they encounter. If they did, they certainly shouldn't be there. Anyway, if they girls ask you why you change so many girls, tell them that you have not decided yet and that you want to give every girl a chance to try you out!

on my first trip to LOS i went to the same MP every night and took a different girl from the fishbowl.
the one's i had been with previously smiled at me and indicated they wanted me again.
looked disappointed when i chose another.
but the good thing for me was they were a few yards away,if i had to mix with them without the fishbowl and they pressurised me,things might have been different.
i would probably gone with the first girl again and again.
my first soapy was an experience i will not forget and i will never forget Mai,who treated me so well.

Yeah, you can certainly get a butterfly reputation (I know I have one), but I'd say in most MPs, it's not a loss of face type of situation. ÝMost locals guys are butterflies at the MPs. Ý There are a finite amount of MPs, and so you're invariably a repeat customer at a number of places. ÝMore than likely, a fellow (like myself) will have a few favorite places, and will have an ongoing list of girls they frequent along with enjoying the girls that come and go.
That's why the fishbowl concept came about. ÝThe glass and distance/procedure involved minimizes loss of face. Ý Ý Ý
If you do something silly like stand right up against the glass and point at the girls you like or shake your head at the girls you don't... that would be more of a "no no." Ý ÝIt's a 2 hour transaction. Ý Not a big deal to them. Ý If however you LT a lot of girls from the same place, that wouldn't be as "gentlemanly" in terms of etiquette. Ý This involves picking them up at midnight (meaning other girls will see you and your girl for the evening), and a face loss potential type of situation will develop. Ý Ý Ý
It's worse to get a reputation as a cheapskate. Ý Walk in, the girls can kind of see you through the bowl (some places the glass allows more or less visibility for the girl). Ý Some whispering, some smiling. Ý They might be saying "this guy is ____, from, decent tipper, likes to change positions." Ý Or they might just as likely be saying... "cheapskate alert, operation starfish in effect."
But again, it all depends on you. From another point of view (not mine), these girls are the bottom of society, and thus you pretty much have free reign to do whatever you like. Pre Civil War America didn't really care if a slave lost face, yes?
Be generous if it's deserved, don't let them believe they are your girlfriend, and be straight forward all around, and usually not a single hitch to a rather pleasant situation. Ý Fairly smooth sailing for years now. Ý Ý Ý

"Cheapskate alert, operation starfish in effect" that's pretty funny, but it's very true. ÝThe dancers at my local strip clubs do that. ÝThey tell each other if there's a cheapskate or asshole sitting by the stage. ÝThere may be no other customers by the stage, but none of the girls would even go near that cheapskate/asshole when they are on stage.

I agree with the coments about the "loss face" shit within the GG-bar and MPs. Seems to be that the "loss face" weird thing is diminished within an MP. I agree with the rationale Packriper pointed out on this issue.
I remember my TG from J1 saying to me once:
"....you PU-CHAI (man), you can take different lady....I PU-JIN (lady) I stay with you...."
"....Cheapskate alert, operation starfish in effect...."
I like it as well....

Most others on this board probably already know this... but to answer the Dec. 5 question, most will be closed since it is considered impolite culturally to be open on that day (along with mother's day and some other religiously important days). Ý ÝYou might find girls working, but you probably won't find places actually open. Ý ALTHOUGH, once in awhile you'll hear of places being open with all of the front lights out. ÝSo techinically not open, but open. Ý

Don't be so surprised Dave. I like Packripper's posts a lot and I'm really impressed with the way he clearly has some admirable personal standards and yet doesn't come off as superior or judgemental. He knows what's what, and he's down to earth.
To me, that's classy. Sorry if it's not "cool" to praise one of the brothers but I have a habit of giving credit where it's due.
