Sideline girls in Massage Parlors, as their title suggests, just sit by the side and not in the main gallery area. They are just another "category" of girls that provide the same service at slightly elevated prices. Additionally, they are not required to be present everyday, actually, that depends on the establishment.

Noted 3 or 4 of those when I took a Hong Kong Guy to Charopryaha 1 [ or was it 2 ? ] - anyway closest to Europa Inn on Sri Ayuthhaya Road - The manager told the guy in Chinese, that they were schoolgirls, getting an extra earn, - so of course he had to partake - said it was an interesting experience - but thats what they lacked, "Experience" - guess they were indeed schoolgirls, but think he will go for a "superstar" next time, that is, if he wants to pay the 3000bt instead of the normal 1,500.

Oh yes there is a fee for everything. But the nice thing about sideline girls is this, in some establishments where they are not required to go everyday, they wouldn't need to pay the establishment anything if they were out with you on a private arrangement (for a couple of days). If you took the regular fishbowl girl, she would have to pay the establishment a fee (it varies from establishment to establishment, say 1,000B/day).

The guy at Plaza Entertainment who was walking around with me showing me first the fishbowl girls. I said what about the girls sitting at the bar? (The sideliners) İHe said "Those girls are models that only work here some days when they need extra money to pay there phone bill" That made me laugh the way he said it.......They must really like to talk a lot on the phone!

I've neem to several MP's over the years, but have never seen anything other than the fishbowl. Until I found this forum I didn't even know there was an alternative.
How do you ask to see the sideliners/models? and what is the best way to do so. It sounds like seeing the standard fishbowl is a good start and look onward if there is no girl there that takes your fancy. Do you then just ask the papasan for "sideliners"?

Ususally sideliners are seated on sofas and are dressed differently from those in the fishbowls. They don't wear "uniforms". For example, at Plaza, they are seated on the large sofas on your left beside the fishbowl. And at many-end MPs such as Plaza, Posseidon, there is also a model section that offers better looking girls with a higher price tag.
Yes, you can just ask for sideliners by saying: mee sideline mai?. Read Pinga's post for prices so that you will not be ripped off.
Or just proceed to the model section and ask the papasan there...make sure to give him a 100B tip if his recommedation is good...this way you will get the royal treatment when you are back
