I have seen a lot of post stating fish bowels are empty or not much selection. I would like to share an observation. Last week I went to Emmanuelle's at 6:30 PM about 15 girls in the fish bowel and 3 sideliners. Now I asked the question to themamasan, in regards to not much selection. It was really not answered. I think they do not want to answer this question so you pick from whats available.
When I was done I had to wait for a friend. During the wait, I watched the fish bowl. Now about 50 girls and 12 sideliners. Next thing I see is over the next 15 minutes, 61 guys show up and make there selection. Now at 8:30 PM there is exactly one girl sitting in the fishbowl (the only dark skined girl in the place I might add). I felt sorry for her and if I was alone probably would have gone for round 2.
So if you were the unlucky guy that comes in at 8:30 and see one girl you would leave with the impression not much selection. Advice, have a few beers and pick them as the come off shift one.

I have been seeing the same thing. Last week I asked the papasan at Sai Fon (who I've known for years) and he told me they were rotating the girls in/out of the bowl for the benefit of inspectors from the police etc that have been dropping by as part of the general post-Chuwit harrassment that is occurring all over town.
So the girls may be on the premises but out of sight. Regulars (at least Thai regulars) are in the loop on this and just call ahead to book their choice.

I think the whole Bkk MP are currently affected by the Chuwit process. The business hours are not regular and there are not as many girls in the fishbowl.

Hi guys, Sometimes when I arrive at some MPs lately there is not much girls, I assume that the demand must be more than supply. That means the economy in Thailand must be improved this year regardless of SARS or terrorist fears!
That's really a good news if travellers keep coming and spending in LOS especially in MPs!!

Girls are certainly rotating among different MPs. The damage is done after CHUWIT stuff so that the "best time to visit" has been seriously affected. There is a need of some more "research" to see when the things will settle down again I reckon.

Just to add to all these "Chuwit" inconveniences, all Mps nowadays are forced to shutdown 40-50% of their rooms as most MP do not adhere to the licensing rules..they pay off the "authorities" to operate moer rooms than what wa permitted on their operating license. So now with all these hoopla on the Chuwit saga, their operating capacity is greatly reduced.
Was in Catherine that other day and I was made to wait for 30 min for a room..they even have a van waiting outside to ferry clients who can't afford to waste time ti use the rooms in La Defesne (same owner)..and these similiar arrangements are ver common among several MPs. this Chuwit issue has created an envirnemnet of coperative alliance among compting MPs..haha!!

As for regular traditional / oil MP, not sure if they are forced to shut down some rooms though...soapy is just too addictive for me to try a tradional ...
