Just looked up the word FORUM in Webster New World Dictionary and it reads:
fo-rum 1. the public square or marketplace of an ancient Roman city, where legal and political business was conducted. 2.a law court; tribunal. 3. a) an assemble or program for the discussion of public matters, b) an opertunity for open discussion.
There is nothing on searching libray's records or achives. So maybe a name change for this board is in order, something like Bangkok Tonight dont ask search your f-cking self.
I bet some of the posters here are great fun to meet in a bar. When a newbie ask's a question on Bangkok do they tell to go buy a guide book cos they spoke about that subject last month. Or are they really helpfull people and answer the question if they can, I think its the later, so why cant it extend to the board? If the subject does not interest you dont answer it, if you cant be of help ignor it, if the post is incorrect comment, if you want to be funny or wind someone up do so.
Of course it is up to the moderators to set rules, but one must remember that searches for the most common of things can sometimes be very frustrating. Trying to get airline information is often quicker by phone, car rental is another mine field unless you know their thinking.
Now the next guy in line wants the orange box so I'll step down.

Gouzi - to get you started, search this board for Annie's, Darling, Sweet Heart, Eden, Plaza, Cupidy. These are all within walking distance but you will need to specify that you want "oil massage".... otherwise you may get all the extras but no oil.
For "oil + extras" your best bets are 33 Center and Baron... both these provide the classic erotic OM and can be reached by BTS.

With due respect Deep File, Gouzi said he was going to be staying at the Watergate.
IMHO he should change his hotel to the Amari Boulevard if he wants to take advantage of all Sukhumvit has to offer. Although the Watergate is a fine hotel, getting to Annies, Darling, Eden etc. will involve a taxi ride through the mega-traffic.
The Boulevard is also cheaper but still offers good value.

If we don't make our newbies search for the answers in the forum what is the point of keeping the previous topics in the archives? If we are to grow as a forum...and debate the in depth issues...how can we be stuck on topics such as: where is a good place to stay in BKK? Where are the BJ Bars? How much should I tip?
Come on damn it!!! We are all a little tired of answering the same 10 questions! I'm sure most of the punters love to talk pussy in the bars in BKK but that's a totally different story in person!!! Most people will be willing to experience with the newbie some of the first time experiences, but explaining them are boring.
UK Punter...you can look in the dictionary all you want, but you better look up the words pointless, boring, and discouraging if you want any sympathy from me!!!
We don't want to waste our time answering questoins that are answered 10 times previously in the fourm!!!

There are a couple of the "Chaoprahya" chain, #1 & 2, only a 10-15 min walk, go out of the Watergate, left to the main intersection, up past the Indra Hotel, over the railway line, and just down the next main road, Sri Ayutthaya, to your left, near the Europa Inn. I find that one quieter, but maybe better girls, a 'sister' massage, is on the opposite side of the road. Most girls don't get there till 3 or 4 pm, nice clean rooms, around 1800 bt, if they say more, ask for "Thai" rate ! - also don't believe any Duk Duk or Taxi driver parked out the front who tell you the place is closed, and want to take you somewhere else !
