I was checking out the MPs on Ratchada this past December and here are the latest alterations I noticed:
Mirage: Since the new opening hours "Mirage" changed its policies. Instead of the regular two hours one only gets 90 minutes sessions. But a decent fishbowl girl still costs the same: 2200 Bahts. Apparently they try to squeeze in as many customers as possible. The girls too seemed to be less relaxed and in a hurry. Apparently the once famous level of service dropped dramatically. If there were not any absolutely fantastic girls working there, I wouldn't go back again.
Emanuelle: Emanuelle had to close its fishbowl but according to a good friend of mine reopend it on December 27th. Is it the same as before? I would appreciate any advice on it.
High Class: I took a friend of mine to High Class Massage the other day. He seemed to be quite happy with his selection while I wasn't satisfied with mine at all. Actually the girl - it was her 4th working day at an MP - was recommened to me by the management. Instead of taking care of me she was constantly watching tv. Another problem was that all the hot water had gone. Taking a bath wasn't possible either. This was it. I got up, dressed myself and left for.....
Nataree: Altough the girls are not among the most beautiful ones, they definitely know how to give a good service. I have been there a couple of times and never been disappointed in any way. The bath tubs are remarkable large at Nataree. Especially tall foreigners do appreciate them. The papasans are among the friendliest in the Ratchada area. If you treat them like good friends, they in return will treat you the same way. Once they know your preferences, they won't let you down. One time they even advised me not to pick any of the girls as they were worried that I wouldn't like their services. The other day they even called a girl (who had already left) at home and made her come back to work for another two hours... As a matter of fact, Nataree has become my famous Ratchada-Mp.

That sucks about Mirage becoming such clock-watchers. High Class isn’t the only place that never seems to have hot water. WTF is it about BKK MP’s and hot water? I can’t ever seem to get a decent bath there, Ratchada or Suk and everywhere between. Doesn’t seem to matter if I get there early or late. Glad you had a good experience with Nataree.

Regarding your question on Emauelle, as you might or might not know that the owner of the place got in some REALLY hot water with the police that pretty much change the rules in which police works with the MPs. Accordingly this leads to some changes as to how MPs operate. Don't know if anyone of you noticed it.
Anyway, the case seems to have quiet down somewhat, so yes, the fish bowl is now open for business.

Yes, I also think that the quality of service of Nataree is the best among the MP ItalianLovers listed. My complement applies to both the papasan and the girls. I cannot recall any incident that I was not satisified there. If I have to pick the bones, I think their bed is the smallest in Ratchada though the bath tub is large.
My memory tells me that the most comfortable bed (and room) provided is Caesar and Copa Cabana. But Caesar girls quality cannot be compared to other MPs in Ratchada.
I do not know if anyone noticed one thing. Since the Sep. 2003, most of the MPs I have visited rarely show adult film on the TV inside the room although they did before. The other change is most of the rooms are not able to lock from inside. I asked one of the girls why. She tried very hard to explain to me in Thai. I cannot fully understand. I guess it has something to do with some sort of new policy. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I probably will be spending a few days in BKK later this month. May be I will do something like ItalianLover did - a little update in outside-Ratchada.

Since some rooms cannot be locked, have you ever had anyone besides the drink girl ever try to come in? I've never had any problems with this and even the drink girl usually knocks first, but now I'm starting to wonder.

Although the room was not locked, I have not encountered unwelcome intruder.
You are right even the drink girls knock before the walk in. But agian, I never do anything silly if I have ordered some drinks and they have not arrived. Therefore where the drink girls knock is not very significant to me. What I worry is someone other than the drink girls - such as the authority.

If you go to High Class, you try the papasan Jacky who could speak good English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He always recommend good girl to me.
