Hi,
I am in Bangkok in a few weeks and wanted to know if the subway was running yet ?
I usually stay at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel (next to MBK) which has good access to the sky train, however I like to visit the MP's in Ratchadapisek Road (usually Poseidon) which the sky train does not go anywhere near.
Previously I have got to Ratchadapisek Road by taxi, which only takes about 10 minutes at night, but I always arive too late, and all the best girls are gone and some of the MP's are starting to close.
Through reading these forums I have worked out my mistake, and need to arrive at around 6.00/7.00 in the evening (instead of 11.00 like I used to) for the best selection.
However, this is the worst time for traffic so I want to know if anyone had any ideas ? I will be working while in BK, and it is difficult for me to get away sometimes. I am not free during the day until around 5.30 (Mega-Jams) so I am looking for an alternative.
If the subway was open it would be perfect as I have heard there is a station very close to MBK and Poseidon.
Alternatively, I have read some great reviews on Plaza Entertainment Complex on Petchburi Road. I know this is closer and it sounds like a similar type of place. Does anyone know how easy/quick it would be to travel there ?

Plaza is not actually on Petchburi. It is behind it. Take Soi Makkasan (I think that's the name) which is the continuation of Soi Nana on the other side of Petch, to the next corner and Plaza is there.

The subway is not close to MBK. Take the BTS Skytrain from MBK (National Stadium) to Asoke (switching at Siam). Then walk north on Asoke a short distance to catch the subway going north to Ratchadapisek Road and exit on the Suthisan train stop.

You can also take the aircon 73? bus from MBK to Ratchadapisek Road. My TGF lives on Ratchada near the massage parlours and I take this bus to her apartment.
