Don't touch the place.
They'll sting you for as much as they can.
Stick on the same road and travel down to Chao Phaya 2.
They have a standard rate which they stick to and is no different from that charged to the Thai-Chinese who go there. Also, you will have far more and a better choice if you hit the place at a time when they are not busy.

There's a distinct difference in quality between J1 and CP2, with J1 girls tending towards the younger and slightly better looking side -more on part with typical Ratchada MP types- but naturally this will depend on one's preferences. If you're living here and visit even semi regularly, you'll not get overcharged.

A bit of confusion here, I think. Or maybe just a joke.
JC massage is in Suriwonge road or just off it in the Montien Hotel grounds or next to them, opposite Patpong.
It is certainly not the nearest to Siam Square, although it might be near to one of the outer and far removed faculty buildings of the Department of Clinical Research.
And as for J One not trying to charge semi-regulars, that may be true now. I cannot say. But years ago it was not true. That's why I never returned.

J-One always charges the same prices. 1800 FB and 2300 SL. If they ask for more just tell them that's what you paid last time. It is more believable if you can say it in Thai.

Well, I wouldn't say always, even though I have always been charged the same prices. Middle Eastern and Western foreigners and even sometimes Eastern foreigners do sometimes get overcharged. The girls that work there also usually sign on board knowing that the clientele is primarily Eastern Asian and local. That's why the place understandably gets a bad rap, both the cheer guests and working girls are sometimes less than user friendly to some groups of customers.

You may very well be right there and I acknowledge your deeper experience of the place concerning the ladies.
My experiences on and off over the years there have always left me with a feeling of cheap disgust, however great the actual soapie, merely because of the rat pack of papasans who line the vestibule lurking in wait to pounce on any unwary customer and constantly hassle him with way-high prices even before he has had time to sit down and see what is on offer.
I've turned on my heel and walked out of the door on the last four occasions, and that was some time ago, but I hear from friends that it is still the same.
Maybe not enough of us make the protest at the behaviour and the intended rip-off.
As for the comment about the ladies, if you go at a non-busy time, you will get just as good quality and youth at CP2, but without the bad behaviour and the inflated prices.
