I arrived at Darling this afternoon more than an hour after they opened. There were three in the fishbowl. I selected on and went to the room.
There was no hot water and they expected me to pay the full price 2,500 bhat and take a cold bath. Give me a break. Their first excuse was they did not know there was none. Then they claimed they just opened. I demanded a refund which I was given after a little trouble.
Watch out guys. Darling ain't no darling anymore.

There's way too much competition around these days. I know a bloke that used to go to Darlings every time he was in town and had never heard of Tulip, Teen Massage, Aviva etc. Needless to say, he has not returned to Darlings for a while.

I've long believed that Darlings was crap.
Dark and dingy, no luke-warm water let alone hot, papasan with a sour attitude, and way, way over priced.
And as the brothers say, there are now many, many others, near by, cheaper, better, cleaner, more fun and with hot water if you want it with the addition of a number of great girls on display as opposed to the one or possibly two that you might be lucky to find free at Darlings.
Admittedly, in its heyday in the 90's it was good and there wasn't anything nearby or within reach to compare. But for years now it has been riding on a reputation earned years ago. Sorry, but that is history.
There are numerous places that outstrip Darlings every night and day of the week with gorgeous, willing younger girls managed by mamasans who don't greet you with a scowl, but who warmly welcome you and your wallet.
And for those of you more inclined, the price of a Darlings rip-off massage is fractionally lower than going to the Eden Club for a full hog with two. And Soi 7/1 isn't even half a leap away.

Yeah, that and Annies. Popped into Aviva near midnight on Friday night, only 2 girls there, but what great service, attitude, everything. f***ing bonza. I say let D and A die a slow death. Typical Thai company that refuses to spend on upgrades, trying to live on dwindling reputation only.
