I agree with you. The info is very lacking these days compared to 5 years ago. Are free memberships available again? For a long time, they were not.
Earlier this year, I asked the same question as you. Someone answered that it was me, not the board, that people had simply moved on to different topics, but that overall it was as busy as ever.
The Bangkok scene has changed dramatically since my first trip, when they had just set the requirement for no nudity. Now, I won't even BF unless I've seen the girl totally nude. No more surprises back at the hotel!
I expected the field reports to mushroom because of the change. Yet, I see very little mention of it on the forum.
Can only hope that the forum changes for the better.

Charm is hardly the word I would use, posts may of slowed down due to tourism being down but when you read the charming threads you refer to - or when that charm breaks out where its irrelevant - that can steer the info seekers or those who don't want to be grammatically edited/flamed elsewhere.
There still a few nuggets of wisdom to be found once you sort through the carnage.
Posts will pick up when more people venture back out to play - hopefully the irrelevant plays itself out.
The Hotel info is very useful - I also have benefited from the Dubai thread as well as the Oily and Soapie updates and the Eden threads have good intel.

My personal experience is that I hesitate to post anymore because most of what I experience on my monthly visits has been expressed before. Unless I can add something of real value I don't want to post and then have to put up with the bullshit that is likely to follow. Over the years I have gotten a lot out of this website. I would like to see it continue on to help me and others learn new things that even after 20 years we don't know. However, its no fun to post if you have to then fend off numerous attacks that don't end until you stop arguing.
