went to Mirage entertainment, diagonally opposite the merchant court hotel. The fish tank was in two parts.
LEFT SIDE got about 4/5 girls. RIGHT SIDE got about 20/30 girls.
pick one from the right side. cost 3000baht.
for two hours includes massage, BJ, etc...
the room consists of tv, bed and shower facilities.
when done, i came down and noticed that the SIDE LOUNGE was filled with about 10 girls. they look more solid than the ones in the fish tank.
questions:
1. am i overcharged here at 3000baht?
2. any difference bet the girls in the LEFT & RIGHT side of the fish tank??
3. how much do the SIDE LOUNGE girls cost??
4. anyone been to Mirage pls help comment..thanks.

One thing you need to know is that these massage parlors do have a policy of adding a surcharge for caucasians, indians or middle eastern customers. Well, consider that lucky, as 4-5 years ago, one wouldn't be allowed in if one were in that category. The normal price in the glass area would be about 1,900 - 2,000. I suspect the surcharge was applied. If you are Eastern Asian (i.e. local, Chinese, Japanese or Malaysian) and was charged 3,000 B, then you have been overcharged, if not, that was their policy.

Yes, however there are establishments that charge more, even to Asians, like Poseidon.....but A+ quality.

No. I went to Meery Massage, walked all the way from Sukhumvit, passed about 50+ canine dogs (many sleeping), a couple were not....kept my eye on them, arrived sweatty and wet, got a CUUUTE babe (quality of girls was between 5-7, but I found one nice 8). No surcharge 'cuz I'm partly Asian....an egg some say. Walked away to the overpass and waived a taxi. 1500baht for girl. 500baht tip. 300baht tip to papasan. Taxi was 100baht. Tipped 50baht to taxi driver. Then got mo girls!

I agree with bkkz. The prices should be around 1,800 - 2,400 for fish bowl and up to 3,400 for the sideline models sitting on the outside.
But, take heart. 3 years ago, first couple times I went to Mirage, our group was paying 4,000 for the fishbowl and up to 8,000 for the sideline models. This is because our private driver was ripping us off and telling the management to charge us more and they would split the differences. Take about "jacked-up". Anyways, I like Mirage and have always had a great service. I subsequently only pay about 1,800 for the fishbowl and up to 3,000 for the sidelines, since I talked with the management and expressed my displeasure about them over charging us.
Another good place is Emanuelle, Honolulu's and Ceasars. I like Emanuelle the best. They are all comparable in price, but I have found that service is the best at Emanuelle. Also if you pick a sideline model you get a much better room for around 3,000 baht. No extra charge!!

hi all,
thanks for the comments, i am going to Mirage again in March 2003, would like to try the SIDELINE models this time round. last time round, i had problem finding the place and arrived there sweaty and distracted. (i din not take taxi or tuk tuk there, got lost and walk and stumble upon the place) thus the papasan explained to us the charges and wait for us to pick the girls. it really was a big rush.
questions:
1. this time round, i would like to actually sit at the couch near the SIDELINE models and order a drink first , and SLOWLY take my time to pick my sideline model. DON want to rush into choosing one in a few minutes time with papasan or anyone waiting for me to make a decision. is this possible??
2. what can i tell the papasan inorder to avoid getting over charge for the sideline models?? webmonkey says 3 years ago he paid 8000 for the sideline models. that's real murder!!!
3. so i take a SIDELINE MODEL and bring her up to a room for 2 hours also....the charges paid includes the room too?, just like those for the fishtank??or i take the model and no room is provided, and i have to bring her to my hotel room???
4. any other advice from experience mirage-goers here??

There's no magic word not to get overcharged. If you get his/her number and go next time (calling ahead), I'd say that's your best bet. They sometimes might charge people extra because they know that anyone who gets charged extra + less than attentive service probably won't be coming back. They often do this to undesireables (not of any particular race... although yes, some falangs, some negroes, some Indians might find this treatment more often) in general as well.
