do people sell cockraches and other creepy crawlies in markets and on street corners or is that just a dirty big lie? what have you eaten/seen in thailand that would be frowned upon back home? snakes blood anyone?

In Asia, I am sure you can find anything you want to eat. Snakes, insects, dogs, bears, ect.
I've had pig's brain in a Taiwanese night market. It was disgusting but I lost a bet and had to eat it!!
I'm not sure why anyone would want to east roaches, but then again, I'm sure other countries wonder why we Americans eat some of the things we eat!! ha ha h!!

Frogs are fine and even snake, dog and bear claw. I draw my personal line at insects ... especially roaches!! I've had chocolate covered ants before though!!
So ..... I think if you offer me anything, I'd better take a close inspection and to ensure it's not an insect!! ha ha ha ha!!

i was just about to say id eat anything once just for the experience, but come on ABC......chocolate covered ants? sort it out man. ive never been outside europe so ive eaten nothing out of the ordinary except for a few dog burgers in bosnia. i read that snakes blood is used like lucozade in the UK. a type of energy boosting drink. ive got to be honest, im looking forward to experimenting with the food almost as most as i am the teenage girls and ladyboys.

I could see that insects are available mainly at the carts of these street vendors. Each time I go to GULLIVERS (soi 5) had to pass through Beergarden (Soi 7) and could see deep fried bugs, grasshoppers and maggots available at this street vendor's cart. Girls love them....Same thing could be seen in the juntion Suriwongsee w. Patpong 2.

On my last trip I caught up with a cart vendor who had several hampers full of different fried stuff. One was a heap of black things which looked like insects, maybe beetles, to me. Black and shining. I took a close look but couldn't tell. They might have been some fruit seeds fried.
