Just wanted to share a place I've been going to a lot lately. The Crystal Design Center at Raminthra Expressway has some very trendy restaurants.
How you get there is take the Raminthra expressway, coming from Sukhumvit or Lad Phrao Rd you would be headed northbound and you make a U-turn after you see it on the right hand side of the expressway. You can find it on Google Maps. CDC is huge so you want to make sure you go in the right entrance. It's not the first entrance but I think the 2nd one with the pretty lights and there's a narrow driveway you can drive down with cars to the left and you can barely squeeze thru.
EST.33 is the first restaurant you'll see when you walk into the place. It looks like a microbrewery.
Wine I Love You http://www.wineiloveyou.com is a joint venture between Gullivers and Route 66. It's very popular with the celebrities and you are sure to spot a lot of hiso eye candy here. Food is OK, they have a decent selection of wines which you can pick out near the front and they'll bring it to the table. Service there needs to improve as staff seem quite confused most of the time.

... the "Crystal Design Center", or CDC, about which badfishlbc writes here is not to be confused with "The Crystal", a neighborhood shopping center located just across Ramindra Expressway... (is there not one, single original thought in this entire country?).
... found a small joint there offering a glorious pastrami sandwich, reported on elsewhere in this section... really worth the trip.
