Anyway, his book does a nice range of Thai food, with ingredients I can buy locally In London. I can cook Thai food with odd veg but it still tastes thiaíish!! Iíve not had a solid shit in weeks. BUT it doesnít burn like MAGMA like my last time I was in Thailand that f_cked me up for 3 days.
The point
Coconut rice does go through you.
Spice does burn; but itís not the killer.
If you are not use to spice, before you travel eat pepper with every meal and increase the load. Then put some chilly in. Birds eye chilies are the f_ckers used in Thai food and you can get use to them if you eat them with every meal. And they do make food taste better. Iím English so I know all about bad food.
BUT your ass will still fall out. Why? Because there is 70000 miles of difference between the water you drink at home and the shit they serve up in Thailand. ÝI donít lie when I say my ass falls out, but I love Thai food and Iím not going to stop cooking it.BUT THE WATER AND ICE WILL MAKE YOUR ASS FALL OUT..
And watch what they wash things in by the road side.
The low down is.
Yes your arse will fall out. Bring a cork or medication to bung yourself up with.
And eat as much thai food as you can cos its the best in the world.

i always have trouble with the 'arse falling out',every trip.
i always put it down to the water,not the food.
as soon as i arrive,i brush my teeth from the tap,knowing i will get the couple of days of sitting on the loo.
but at least i get the shits when i want them,not something which creeps up on you suddenly.
i'm only an hour away from London,so maybe i should visit and we go to Chinatown for a night out?.

It was only because I was in the area, I did not go looking for it, I am starting to acquire a taste for the hot spicy Thai food and prefer it over pizza hut or any other "fast food."

Just cross the road from Majestic Suites and go to 'FOODLAND' at soi 5. It is a supermarket where they serve food (Thai and Western food) 24 hours a day.
