Oh yeah, and siam square there's a place for some great thai food with a traditional dance show. But you have to walk up 2 or 3 stories to that one. They come in the audience and get people to go on stage and dance with them. Some of them are good looking wool. Dont remember the name of that one either. That's f_cked up aint it???

They have great finger food there  ;-)

However, maybe it is like eating Chinese food, I always feel hungry very soon after finishing

Bigin I have eaten at that restaurant too. ðVery nice I forget the name but they have a write up in the Bangkok Post. ðNext to what used to be Fridays in that little mall. ð

My favorites

1) ðSomboon, I believe on Silom in Patpong but may be Surawongse. ðSeafood restaurant, Thai food but owned by Chinese if not mistaken. ðUsually have the crab balls and the garlic shrimp and grilled shrimp. ðTook a cutie on my last trip and she bought this whole spiced fish and rice. ðShe fed it to me while I put the sauce on white rice. ðDelicious. ðAlso had the glass noodles with prawns. ð

2) ðThe Seafood market on Petchaburi to the right of Panthip as you exit on the same side of the street. ðI purchased my food from the biggest and most lit up (display) place in the center. ðI had 1/2 kilo (?) of giant prawns half of em garliced and half grilled with crab fried rice. ð550 baht including cooking. ðOne of the best meals I have had in the Kingdom.

3) ðI can't remeber the name of it but it may not have one! ðIt was a little place maybe on Silom near Patpong that I went to with a cutie on my second trip for lunch... ðThey have these serving trays that are on bunson burners and I had one curry and one sweet chicken ladle full on top of white rice and my love of the moment had one ladle full of curry on top of white rice and we each had a can of coke. ðIt was delic... ð Bill total (and this is the kicker) 85 Baht!!! ðJust look for the pans and the bunson burners in a small Thai style restaurant you know, the one that seats like 15 people! ð

right by the corner of sathorn and rama 4, there is a place called "Jun Pen" tell a taxi, they all know, and dont commissions....this is a truely old establishment with roots that go back a long way, plus it wont break your wallet....menus with pictures too...its in the general vicinity of silom...and close to jusmag

another to try would be "somboon seafood' at the suriwong & new road intersection...

more pricey than others, there is the 'seafood market' located on sukumvit 24, same street emporium is on...claimed to have everything that is in the ocean...

The place above McDonald's and next to Friday's is called something like Tamarnak, although I think that's not exactly right.  It's the same as the place (just below ground level) next to the Sheraon Grande on Sukhumvit.  I think it's a small chain.  The food is pretty decent.  I've eaten at the one on Sukhumvit a couple of times because it's open all hours, IIRC.

Good place to eat if you like Japanese food.

I have only been the one on soi55 (same building as Sizzler).,. Name is Zen and they have branches in many of the Central  Plaze, WTC and Siam Center..

I really like Sushi and Sashimi .. My g/f and I get an individual dish (chicken teriyaki for me, some kind of bony fish for her .. B115 each .. includes rice, miso soup, salad and entree .) ..

then I get a big plate of Sushi/sashimi for both of us and I end up eating most of it.. usually get the B320 plate which is enough for a meal .

Quality control seems good and I have eaten at the one on sou 55 for about ten years now and never had any problems ..
