too much I (c) q, Lemongrass and Le Dalat are still a good choice, bit on the pricier side and somehow Falang places, but then again, that's what we are, right?!? For good Thai food I would still add good ol' "Cabbage and Condoms", Soi 12, also Falang dominated. A nice cozy and reasonable place is the newly opened "Balee Laos" with Thai/Lao kitchen in Soi 16, behind Somerset Lakepoint, opposite side. We 16ers love it... And a very special recommendation is "Malekka" (026633211) further on in that Soi 16, after a little crossing that you pass straight and it's then on your l/h side heading for Soi 22 (you can also approach from that Soi 22). Beautiful historic wooden Thai building with lush garden and out- and indoor tables. Excellent Royal Thai Cuisine. The have a starter completely made of deep fried... blossoms! Maybe you don't want to eat it, but it's worth looking at it... Just my 5 satang...

My favorite Thai restaurant is Baan Kanitha (Soi 23). Have been there on my last few trips. For a special occasion, I also like to do the dinner river cuise from the ShangriLa hotel. Buffet style (all you can eat), but very good. Great views of BKK from the river... Just get a table upstairs/outside. gary

Quack, I think KG, if its near Bua, is behind SV City where I lived for 1 year. Man some good times were had at that apartment Its not really near any BTS. I suppose (if I am thinking of the correct place) asoke and tell taxi rama IV (pla lam sam) SV City (its an enormous condo complex) and almost all taxi's know Bua. I have never eaten at KG but Bua is a very popular restaurant. chock dee, atl

They are just too much adapted to the falang taste... Their branch on Ruam Rudee (Ploenchit) seems to be the better Kanitha, same cooking though... For completely falang oriented fine Thai dining I would always prefere the Blue Elephant... it's just more classy...

Kanitha on Soi Ruam Rudee closed over a year ago. It is now located in a much better setting on the corner of Soi Suan Plu, South Sathorn. My current favourite is Leelawadee on Thanon Phracha-U-Thit. My previous favourite Bung Wa Pee I find too far to get to from my current location.

That seafood place on Ratchada is called Samboon. It is much better than the seafood palace on Sukumvit near asok but closes at 11pm. I love the crab dish over there. Can't wait to go back in Nov.
