I would not automatically assume it was the NEP burger. I have eaten there many times and never had a problem. Also, over the last two weeks there has been a terrible stomach bug going around. Seems like everyone I know over here has come down with it. Consists of spewing out of both ends for about 12 - 24 hours and still having the sh_ts up to three days later.
I caught it two and a half weeks ago. Not good times at all.

That's not a bug, that's just normal life in Thailand. If you don't get the sh_ts at least twice a week there is something wrong. Or, you are spending way too much money on food.
Brush your teeth and get a little of the water down your throat? Within 30 minutes you are puking, and in an hour you are sh_tting. A couple hours and it's all over with.
Puking and sh_tting are a fact of life here. Do not think you have come down with anything. Hell, look at how much time Thai's spend sh_tting their brains out on a daily basis. It's a little hard on the  but after a couple years you get used to it.

oh man, no sooner do I finish writing that I have a titanium stomach than I have mexican rice and enchiladas for lunch...
put the whole packet of red chilli pepper on it, along with a heaping of tabasco sauce, and of course ALL the melted Jalepeno cheese I had...
the typical afternoon sh!te became a near launch of my arse into the ladies' room.
but that will be the end of it. no more aches and pains,
and i'll leave with you with those thoughts until this evening.
