OK, no info on Maha Naga on Suk Soi 29. How about Sirocco, reviewed in Friday's Post? I'm always a little leery about the quality of food in a place known for its view.

Lets talk about food...... well today I was coming past a certain area that I regularly travel, but never before at that time of day. I had always seen some action in the area of people sitting around bowls and always a group of people and bikes there. The other noticable thing about the location is that they all gather at this spot that seems to ALWAYS have an absolute fowl sewage stench coming from it, so much so that every time when I first went past it, I thought the taxi driver had dropped his guts big time. But then having noticed on every trip since, I saw the vent up from the sewer there where these people congregate.
Well what made today different was that I realised what they do there every day, they were making food, meat and seafood strips and drying them in the sun right there. With those constant fumes blowing onto the food and possible helping it dry?? Next time you buy some food from a street vendor, try not to think about this little post.

In the Sukhumvit area I highly recommend the counter restaurant in the Foodland market. Great Thai food for around 60 THB per plate.
