RTB, forget Pinocchio......the owner used to work at Royal Orchid Sheraton and he's kind of guy that offers you a drink at the end of the meal and later you'll find it in the bill.....happened to me when I took there some people just cuz we were coming out from a Fair.....
Enzo is better qualitywise.....chef cooks fresh everyday and no leftovers....
Hey, can I get a deal for a book on Italian food in LOS???

Yeah, I know the place, but the last time I went there we took home left over pizza and the next morning is was three shades of green in the fridge. A little quick for mold eeh? So from then on I trek to BKK, but now this looks promising.

Yes, I have eaten at La Bella Napoli 3-4 times. Very good Pizza and Pasta. Run by an Italian, usually with a fair number of Italian customers. Only open in evenings.

IMO, Soi 31 now has a better pizza/pasta place - Toscana. Its about 30 meters further down the soi from Bella Napoli but personally, the pizza is better and there is a broader selection of other dishes (pasta et al). Also run by anItalian chef (Luca)
It's like Soi 31 has beome little Italy! Bella Napoli, Toscana, Lino, San Remo and further along Antonio's.

The name is now "Mr Enzo's" and I managed to track the place down with some difficulty... it is "behind" (east) of the northernmost tower as Caronte says, but the sign on the tower reads "Riviera 3". Turn right on the soi that runs immediately along the back of the tower, and then turn left at the second small soi... you will see the restaurant sign about 100 meters inside the soi on the right. There don't seem to be any soi signs, and Enzo has nothing visible in the way of signs... like he's trying to keep the place a secret.
It's a sprawling villa, with extended porches that have been glassed in; pleasant enough, but a trifle musty. A very ambitious menu, with antipastos, soups, pasta, fish, meat and pizza. The wine list is small but workable and pricing fair at ~300b per bottle over retail.
The caprese salad was excellent because of the authentic cheese, and very generous; lamb "Rome style" was less successful (an undercooked piece of shoulder on the tough side without much merit). The spaghetti carbonara was reasonably good in a rich cream sauce with rocket leaves scattered around the plate. I didn't care much for the tiramisu with was a sort of sponge layer cake with cream filling that had the texture of gelatin or tapioca.
Not as good as the old location on Suk 39; useful if you are in the Muang Thong area anyway, but not worth driving very far out of your way for.
