Post was intended as gentle sarcasm, perhaps my sense of humor needs recalibration?
And I was totally unaware that you are pasty-faced, a limitation of the medium. I mean, nothing was intended to apply to you, personally, or as a member of a group...
I actually am fond of bangers and mash. And no, British food is not as bad as reputed. I ate well in London, and Enfield, when last there in '86. Drank well, too.
Haggis however would best be employed by emptying the sheep's thingy and then using it as a balls-warmer for Godzilla, or something.

a bit out of the way, but only 200 yards from Victory monument skytrain, up soi Rangnam, just past some trendy student bars that run down from phyathai rd, Isarn - Inter must be the answer, good isarn food to keep the Tg happy, allegedly the best hamburgers in Bangkok - and a very tasty cod in beer batter with mash !! just dont get Doug [ US- been here 20 years] going on his golf game tho !

I've got good friends who are brits, americans, and god knows how many other nationalities. ŬI really would like to see an end to the nationalistic name calling/stereotyping that seems to be so common.

It (Enfield) wasn't so sad in '86, the Royal Small Arms Factory (then still gov owned and part of R.O.) was still there (pre-mov to Nottingham) and the Pattern Room, a MOD tenant activity, was housed there.
Also a very nice pub was just off the factory grounds.
The curator of the Pattern Room was (probably still is) Herbert (Herbie) Woodend, late of the R.U.C. bomb squad, a very nice chap and my host as I was staying at his house in Cheshunt and commuting by train to Liverpool Street station and thence to Artillery Hall, where I was a faculty member at a Special Operations conference for a few days.
The selloff shortly thereafter of R.O. and the demolition of the historic old RSAF by B.A. just to make the off hundred million or so, now THAT was sad.
The factory was historic not merely because of its place in military history and small arms technology, but, in the broader history of early industrial development and mass production.
