I was in BKK recently and I found that O'Brien's burger has definitely slipped in quality. It is not as large as it used to be and certainly not as juicy. I suspect that they are using too lean of ground meat thus robbing it of flavor.
I hope that they correct this. The proper hamburger should have an uncooked fat content of 18 - 22% and chuck is the best cut for the flavor.
It is almost like some Brit has got to the folks at O'Brien's and have convinced them to make the tasteless pub burger they have here in the UK...

I had a better than average burger today at Central, a place called Triple-O’s (apparently some chain place based out of O’Canada). Located on the 7th floor right by the movie place.

Different venue, but the one on the Oriental lunch menu is tasty, though it's a little tall.

Aside from being the cloest thing that LOS has to a Denny's it was the best place in the city to go for late night munchies. I took SGGirl there last month after a night in the discos and even she gave it her 'blessing'.
I can only hope it is being renovated and not being turned into some 'hoity-toity' fusion restaurant or something...

O'Briens CLOSED? Say it isn't so. Where the hell am I going to have a 5am breakfast? I mean seriously, this was a good place for quick food and entertainment watching the other customers in the pre-dawn hours.

gonna miss the place.
try kinnaree on 11 (100 m in, on the right, lobby of business inn hotel), food is ok. not as good as o'briens though.
