SOUTHGATE, Mich. - A Detroit-area restaurant owner believes he has broken the world record for "largest hamburger commercially available."
After 12 hours of preparation and baking, the 134-pound burger emerged Saturday at Mallie's Sports Bar and Grill.
The "Absolutely Ridiculous Burger," made with beef, bacon and cheese, was delivered on a 50-pound bun, The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press reported. It sells for $350, and orders require 24 hours' notice.
Flipping the burger required three men using two steel sheets.
Owner Steve Mallie told The News he wanted to show that he has the biggest and best burgers.
Authenticating Mallie's claim could take a few weeks. His burger would outweigh the 123-pound burger made last year by Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, of Clearfield, Pa.

Soo Bob`s BBQ in Pattaya finaly got beaten?
they used to have the record.
The burgers at Bobs BBQ are quite nice the bread is a bit wierd (home made) soft and sweet other than that homemade jucy and good.
A bit off topic the ribs are proberbly authentic American???

As a regular day-to-day menu item NYDC in SIN has a 2kg burger that comes on an 8" bun. They will give it to you free if you can eat the whole thing in one sitting.
Now with O'Brien's gone has anyone found a comparable burger in the Suk area. I have tried the Soi 8 Pub but their burger is too dry. The Huntsman has a good burger but it is bloody expensive.
Any other candidates...

It has been mentioned before, but my vote goes to Bullys (between soi 4 and 2, next to where the old Champagne Room was located).
Other food great too, good selection of beers.

Burger Lover, I am still looking around for the best BKK burgers. But my best choice remains the "Woodstock House Burger" - THB 265 - at Woodstock's

Woodstock is a little bit off the main SUK area mais still plenty of action on Thonglor area. So if you are looking for a real burger taste, give it a try.
A few years ago, Woodstock was located in Patpong area and was considered as the best American Restaurant in BKK.

I spoke the the owners of O'Brian's in Dec. They were planing on opening back up in/near the Villa on 11. But I was in Villa earlier this week and while they are doing some remodeling I did not notice anything related to O'Brian's.
I'll have to ask about next time I see them.
Had a few Nana burgers earlier this week and they were pretty tasty - of course I was three sheets to the wind at the time.
