At any event, I'm sure that most of us are quite capable of deciding whether we would rather break bread with a beautiful and charming baboon from Isaan or a racist f_ckwit from farangland.
Yeah, the girls often feel very uncomfortable in a swank restaurant - and it's not unknown for snooty staff to rub it in. Much better to stick to Thai food and go a bit downmarket imho. If she's not happy, you won't be as happy as you could be either. Ý Ý

It always amazes me that guys like/want/need to have sex with women, but then they call them whores or the like.... Always puzzled me about that. Now you have a guy or guys, who seem to think that some other humans are less than he. I don't get that either.

Too bad.
That said, those who have noticed that their relatively unsophisticated girl is uncomfortable in a restaurant have a few choices.
If you can learn to enjoy HER lifestyle - eating at food stalls, or other less fomal places, laughing and having fun, without pretense - then you have it made. ÝThis is the best.
If you just want company at a nice dinner, but no real interest in a frienship or love affair, then you have to set your sights differently: escort or GC pickup. ÝMay take a while for the latter, unless you're slick...
If you don't give a shit about the BEAUTIFUL unpolished gem you have found, and INSIST on dragging her outside her comfort zone, you'll likely get either a pissed-off companion, or one hopelessly ashamed and insecure. ÝNot conducive to horizontal rugby...so DO IT FIRST! 
One of my first BGs from Nana spent the night and I invited her to breakfast at the Nana Hotel coffee shop. ÝShe had NEVER been in such a place, and put her huge purse on the table in front of her, because she was afraid it would be stolen if she put it on the floor at her side.
