but when i try and post on the forum,nothing happens,why?.

Well for a start...if u try to eat dogmeat u wont have any doubts...the dogs that i've been eating (Sakhon Nakhon 10 hours north of bkk) tastes like very strong tasting beef...if u go and buy from the street vendors just keep away from the inside of the animals, liver etc, dog meat is like beef...so go for the light coloured meat,
and eat where the Thais eat, besides the street dogs is- maybe apart from the feet- the nastiest thing a thai person wants to eat, but in some regions they do,
Finally, it's actually good....dunno bout the street dogs though, i chose my own.

OK, the thing is that there are actually two different things being discussed here, eating dog, and being tricked into eating dog. All but one of those who posted they've have had it either have known what it was, or hadn't asked what it was.
The whole thing about asians stealing neighborhood pets and serving it up as beef, chicken, etc., is an urban myth. It's actually a bit racist. It says that "they" can't be trusted, "they'll" lie and trick you. Maybe it happens rarely, but it's not a common practice.
Yes, many asian ethnicities do eat dogs. But they do not commonly pass it off as something else. Usually it's just the opposite; the whole point of eating dog is because it _is_ dog. It's a delicacy, or is considered to have medicinal or spiritual properties, as many posters have noted.
BTW, I've never had the opportunity to eat dog, but I would if it were offered. We eat pigs, which are a lot smarter than dogs, so what's the problem? I'd only draw the line at eating either endangered species, or species with high intelligences like dolphins, chimps, or large parrots. (And maybe even then, if I'm hungry enough  )

I have eaten dog in Korea and Loas. It is a dish, just like frog, cheese, and fish eyes. Different cultures have differing ideas of what a delicacy is.

If someone wish to live in hell , that is his choice .Let him live in hell (or heaven) , but don't advise me that hell is better than heaven . I did not ask him to give me free advise . Rather don't give me advise unless I asked for it. This shows the educational back ground and the society he lives in. There is no authority in this forum. I am not trying to impose my opinion on to others. But do not wash your dirty linen in public. It is inhygenic for others. That's all . Oh! Sorry, I thought you were doing it because after all you seem to actually know what countries are civilized and which are not.
I also thought you were passing judgement when stating that there is no authority in the forum and that some people here do not have an education. But now that you clarified it, we all know it is only your opinion, and as such you indirectly would admit that perhaps you are wrong, because after all it is just an opinion. Right? Or it is not an opinion, but a fact of which you are certain to be right

As for me, my opinion is to let each eat what he/she wants. I just wish that when eating dog one could make a choice of the breed -I think that a fatty bulldog could be tasty , but apparently that would be being too picky

I have gone thru the whole list of people's comments. Other than one or two , no one is appreciating having dog meat . If you like cats, Rats , snake , Bats, please go to place like vietnam or Africa . Don't come to Thailand. It is illegal to sell and to buy dog meat here. period...
