I eat there many times and never had any problem with finding a seat irrespective of what time I step in there...... maybe those times you were there the seats were occupied by the Group Tour customers ?
BTW the buffet breakfast is until 11.00 a.m......... so if you spend 1 to 2 hours there and eat as much as you want (until you are damn FULL) you can skip lunch and save some money for the BTS fare to Patpong later in the evening

will they allow take away?? can I bring a food container that I could fill to the brim, which would allow me to refry the eggs, sausages and bacon for dinner.
I am usually very hungry after the long walk to on nut (saves me the skytrain or busfare).
