Jester's IMHO is pretty grim.
Food is so so but atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. It is another so so hotel restaurant without the glamour of say Sirocco or Vertigo.
(I know it was voted top overall restaurant by Bangkok Metro magasine but I simply dont get it.)

Jacket and Tie??
Someone told me that the dresscode at Jesters is even more bizarre - stupid pointy hat with bells on ( not Noddy) and multi coloured spandex pants. The house band is a load of 80's glam rockers playing medieval ballads on lyres and lutes. The female singer has been known to play the pink oboe on occasion.
That's what I heard anyhow!

Yeah, those ones are kinda embarrassing. But I have never owned a Jacket or a Tie, in fact the only time in my life I ever wore a jacket and a Tie, it was a bow tie and a set of tails and even then only lasted a few hours.

I think it is a cool place and food is decent however overpriced. If it is a decent place to take a date.

What happened to that Met club? Went there about 18months ago and it was nothing to boast about although they did seem to enforce stricter guest selection than other BKK clubs... considering there were about three people standing inside last saturdday night, who might have been staff, I guess the management won't be aiming too exclusive anymore. I like Sathorn, but most places there are badly lacking of customers.
Not much into fusion nor sweet food, but still might check the Metropolitan restaurant
